This is just the kind of setting that my inner ballerina dreams are made of, and my heart literally skips a beat just thinking about the chance to perform in such a fabulous venue!
But before I even reached Coulsdon, my adventure began on the journey there! Let's just say I caught the train to Croydon with a suitcase overflowing with sparkles and an enormous pink tulle tutu draped across my legs like a very extravagant boa. Trust me, darlings, it caused quite a stir - I was absolutely shimmering on that platform! I'd even had a chance to pop into a little boutique on the way to Croydon and find the perfect pink feathered fascinator to complete my travel ensemble. You simply cannot take a fashion queen like me out of the shop for too long, no matter how long the journey, because a glamorous ensemble is simply non-negotiable!
Anyway, enough about the journey - let’s talk about Coulsdon, darlings! The journey continued, I even took a horse and carriage to the Coulsdon Town Centre to see all the fabulousness. Now, Coulsdon is a little slice of charming English heaven. Imagine cobblestone streets, cute little tea rooms (which, of course, I sampled for a lovely cuppa and a scone), independent boutiques, and all those quintessential British charm things. And don't even get me started on the park – it's absolutely breathtaking, like something out of a storybook. And then there was the theatre! It was a beautiful old building with intricate architecture and a sense of history that simply sent shivers down my spine.
