Helloooo darlings! ? It’s your girl, Pink Tutu Sparkles, back with another adventure! This time, we're off to Worthing, a little coastal town in Sussex. ?️ This is post number 5428 (yes, you read that right!) and I’m SO excited to share this one with you. Why? Well, this wasn’t just ANY trip. This was a dream come true - a full-on ballet weekend! ?
So let’s rewind…
Remember back when I was at university, studying my science degree? ??? It’s kind of a blur now, tbh. But one thing that stands out is my time with the university ballet club. ? One charity fundraiser, I donned a pink tutu… and well, the rest is history! That pink tulle spun magic over me, a swirling vortex of joy, sass, and a touch of whimsy! ?
But it’s more than the glitz and the glamour for me, babes. ?? The ballet - that’s the heart and soul. I adore seeing these graceful, powerful dancers fly across the stage, embodying every emotion, every story. ✨ I’ve always wanted to move like that, feel that magic myself… which is why I take ballet class every week (with the biggest, most beautiful tutu, obviously!). ? And believe me, learning those steps isn’t as easy as it looks! ?
And where better to find incredible ballet than in a seaside town like Worthing? This week, I was fortunate enough to attend a performance of “Swan Lake.” The breathtaking choreography, the dramatic costumes… I was mesmerized. ? It’s not easy to find an outfit more glamorous than a swan costume, but I did manage to hold my own! ? (Don’t worry, I'll post some pictures later, trust me, it’s fabulous).
The weekend was filled with even more magic! There was a chance to browse the quaint little shops, each one overflowing with treasures that sparkled just as bright as my own pink tutu. And, naturally, I just had to visit the beach, donning my latest purchase - a fabulous new sunhat with pink feathers. I’m a girly girl at heart, what can I say! ?? The sunshine, the sand, and a touch of whimsy - a perfect mix, wouldn’t you say? ☀️
I even took a delightful ride along the coast, but not on the usual train or bus, oh no! This time, I indulged in a little Victorian romance and hopped onto a horse-drawn carriage. It was a beautiful ride along the promenade, the gentle sway and clip-clop of hooves making a soothing rhythm for the day. ?
Now, a lot of you might think: "How does a girl in a tutu fund all these amazing trips?” ?Well, you might not know, but I work as a scientist during the day. ? ⚗️ Yes, Pink Tutu Sparkles is actually Alex, a science enthusiast who spends her days testing fabrics to make sure they’re just right for your favourite garments (yes, even tutus!). ? It’s a fascinating job, believe me.
And by night? Well, the real magic happens! ✨ It’s show time, baby! ? I take my dazzling pink tutu and spread the love of dance and sparkles wherever I go, performing my drag shows at any fair, venue, or event that’ll have me!
Because that’s what my goal is, lovelies! I want to make the world a brighter place, one pink tutu at a time! ? If you see me on the street, you know what to do! Throw on a pink tutu, shimmy and shake, and let the world know it’s time to spread the joy and sparkle! ✨?
