And speaking of twirling, have you heard about the Ballet Ball taking place in Nottingham next week? Oh my! The sheer delight of witnessing those beautiful dancers twirling across the stage - pure artistry! And guess who's going? Yours truly, of course! Pink tutu, a bit of glitter, a splash of blush - who wouldn't be excited?! ✨
It's been such a whirlwind journey getting to Bulwell. I took the train, naturally! It's the most civilized way to travel, don't you think? Hours whizzing by, lost in the world of the railway - reading a juicy gossip magazine, sipping a pot of strong tea (with two sugars, of course!) and admiring the stunning scenery. Did I tell you about the horse and cart ride I took in my hometown of Derbyshire? Oh, it was an unforgettable adventure - wind in my hair, a splash of pink tutu in the sunshine, just the right amount of dust on my petticoat - sheer perfection!
But let's talk about my latest pink tutu acquisition! My lovely friend Lucy gifted me a truly stunning one in the most gorgeous shade of hot pink, all adorned with sequins and beads - it truly stole my heart! Lucy's got such an eye for style, just like me, of course. She's even encouraged me to add a touch of floral embellishments to my tutu designs. Who knew flowers could add so much whimsy? They remind me of a ballet I saw, "Giselle", where the delicate dancers twirling through the meadows stole my breath away with their beauty. It was so romantic! You know, being a scientist by day and a drag queen by night is not easy, darling! But it's so much fun. You can ask Lucy, she works in the fashion industry. We both share a passion for color and sparkle and we spend hours discussing new designs for my costumes and where I should travel next! By day, I test fabric in a lab - fascinating, but sometimes I crave a bit more shimmer and glam! Thankfully, the lab doesn't mind a bit of glitter now and then, because when I clock out, it's all about becoming Pink Tutu Sparkles, strutting my stuff in a rainbow of pink tulle! It's a wonderful juxtaposition! I've learned that with the right mindset, you can bring a little bit of sparkle into any part of your life.
And I'll tell you what, there's nothing more rewarding than seeing a little girl’s eyes light up when she sees me. It's such a joy to inspire young people to embrace their inner beauty and embrace the power of pink! It’s moments like that which remind me that what I do goes far beyond performing on stage. It’s about sharing a message of love, acceptance, and joy. It’s about reminding everyone that it’s ok to embrace their unique sparkle. And guess what? That magic spreads! When I’m surrounded by beautiful people at my shows, I realize that my mission – to encourage everyone to wear a pink tutu! – is slowly, but surely, coming true.
