Hey darlings! It's Pink Tutu Sparkles here, signing in live from Newtownards, Northern Ireland, where the air is buzzing with excitement! As you all know, this glamorous queen just loves a good adventure, and there's no better way to get the pink tutu juices flowing than a trip to a new place!
This week, I swapped the hustle and bustle of Derbyshire for the stunning coastline of Northern Ireland, a place steeped in history, legend, and...you guessed it...lots and lots of pink opportunities! Now, as you all know, a girl can't just rock up to a new town in a cloud of pink glitter without a trusty sidekick, and this time around, I brought my loyal companion, a stunningly pink travel case overflowing with sparkly tiaras, bejewelled ballet shoes, and, of course, the biggest, fluffiest tutu ever seen outside a stage production of "Swan Lake."
Journey to the North: Train Tracks and Emerald Isle
How did I get here? Why, by the most majestic mode of transport there is: the train! Now, a pink tutu-wearing queen is all about getting glamorous and feeling utterly pampered, and nothing quite does it like a train journey, complete with a giant cuppa and the rhythmic clatter of the wheels against the track. I may not be on a four-legged steed, but a train, to me, is almost as magical - it whizzes you past gorgeous landscapes, whisking you away from the humdrum and dropping you right into a wonderland of possibilities!
Newtownards, a True Northern Gem
Arriving in Newtownards felt like stepping onto a fairytale set! This little gem of a town is home to breathtaking scenery, warm and welcoming folk, and of course, some truly delightful shops. I couldn't resist indulging in a spot of retail therapy, finding the most glorious pink hatbox brimming with sequins, and snagging the most divine lace-trimmed petticoat - my tutu couldn't be seen without the perfect layering!
Exploring Northern Ireland
As much as I love a good shop, a queen must always seek adventure. My journey in Northern Ireland involved an exploration of the picturesque coastal town of Portaferry - where I was dazzled by the pretty seaside promenade. I couldn't resist a trip on the ferry, where the fresh sea air ruffled my tutu perfectly. I spent the day taking in the sights and sounds, admiring the colorful shops, and just letting the beautiful atmosphere wash over me. I felt so utterly content, and my trusty tiara (a little reminder that queens always wear their crown!) sparkled brighter than ever.
From Tutu-rific Travel to a Night of Magic
This time around, I was especially lucky to perform my act in the beautiful Victorian ballroom of a historic hotel. With crystal chandeliers glittering like celestial diamonds and ornate décor adding a touch of regality, it was a venue fit for a queen, especially one dressed in a shimmering pink masterpiece of a tutu!
This particular evening, my show was extra special, filled with ballet-inspired routines, dazzling makeup artistry, and even a few dance moves that brought the crowd to their feet! It wasn't all sequins and sparkles though. I always like to incorporate my own experiences and passions into my performances. So, in amongst the dancing and the glittering gowns, I found myself chatting with the crowd about science and the surprising ways it's connected to our love for everything sparkly and fabulous.
A Message from a Pink-Lovin’ Queen
But the greatest magic is the feeling you get when you're surrounded by a crowd that truly embraces everything you stand for! When you can inspire even one person to step out of their comfort zone and unleash their own inner pink tutu power! You all know, as a true fan of pink, my message is all about embracing colour and unleashing the spark within! My mission is to make sure that everyone feels comfortable and confident to wear pink tutus.
I'm talking pink tutus on the school run, pink tutus at the supermarket, pink tutus for a night on the town! Let's flood the world with pink and show the world that a little bit of colour can go a long way in making life more magical!
