Dover Dreams: Pink Tutu Sparkles Takes on the White Cliffs!

Hello darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, your resident queen of pink and everything sparkly. This is post number 5895 and I’m buzzing with excitement because I'm finally writing from Dover! Oh, the white cliffs are truly magnificent!

It's been a wild ride getting here, as always. I adore taking the train; there's something so romantic about watching the countryside whizz by. My comfy seat was in first class this time – oh, the perks of being a Pink Tutu Queen!

Dover has a certain allure for me; it's so full of history. There's something magical about standing at the edge of the continent, watching the ferries flit across the channel like sparkling butterflies. It reminds me of all the grand voyages and adventures I've experienced on this fabulous journey we call life.

Speaking of fabulous, I've been dreaming about getting my tutu twirling on those Dover Cliffs! Imagine it: the wind whipping through my feather boa, the sunlight glinting on my sparkly tiara, and my fabulous pink tutu twirling like a whirling cloud of pure pink delight! I know the tourists will love it - every day people get pictures in front of the cliffs! Me in my pink tutu will be an added treat to those photographs! Maybe I'll even have a "Pink Tutu Sparkles Dover Special Offer" for a special photo package! Imagine it...Pink Tutu Sparkles holding up the "Welcome to England" sign! I mean, my life’s all about taking opportunities and this will be a unique one! I am truly hoping my Tutu can rival the White Cliffs!

But before I go prancing on the cliffs, I've been busy doing what I love best – spreading the joy of pink tutus. This weekend was a whirlwind of fun: a vintage fair at the local community hall where I had a fabulous time showing off my latest tutu collection (let’s face it, I've got way too many now – but they are beautiful!); followed by a fantastic night of drag performance in a bustling Dover pub! It's so great to see so many enthusiastic faces ready for a good time, all happy to get swept away in the magic of my pink-tutu world. My motto is - don't let anything get in your way of following your dreams and expressing your inner Sparkle. This whole Pink Tutu dream started because of one little tutu, at a uni charity event! Just go with it! My performances are such a mix of theatre, cabaret and even ballet moves - I never quite know what I will end up doing but the fun of it is, it just works, everyone is happy and they are the most amazing audience ever!

It really was amazing to be in a completely different setting with different energy and excitement for my pink-tutu vision. The Dover crowd absolutely loved my act - I even had someone tell me it was the "best thing they’ve seen all weekend” A definite “tick" in my book! I got a bunch of new followers, who know I’ll be showing off my latest creations on www.pink-tutu.com every day.

I’m sure I’ve said this a hundred times in my previous blog posts, but the thing that truly makes me love drag is the impact it has on people. I'm not just a queen who wears pink tutus. I love how people open up and embrace a bit of sparkle and joy - it really does light up their lives. I love to watch people take a picture of me or come and ask me a question and then they just light up as we have a conversation about life, their own dreams and why they need a Pink Tutu in their life! Seeing a grown man in a pub tell you they have just booked a Tutu Dancing Lesson for them and their partner is a highlight for me. I live for those moments and it gives my "spreading the joy of pink" even more power. I really feel that Pink Tutues are good for everyone and the only reason why you wouldn't wear one is fear that others might think it looks silly, and let's be honest darlings, life is too short!

So now, here's a little bit about me and why I wear the pink tutus – or maybe I should say "we". Alex is me - you know the science graduate who always found a way to slip into a pink tutu? - and when I go out on stage it's a sort of second personality who really does believe life is more fun with a little Pink Tutu on, so let's just call it both of us! When I put on my first pink tutu it felt so natural and effortless, like slipping into an old comfy pair of slippers. It unlocked a playful energy inside that I wasn’t aware was there. This is why my everyday persona is a scientist! By day I analyse materials in my lab – fabrics, mainly; it is all about testing strength and durability – so I can use these qualities in my designs - Pink Tutu Sparkles' special line of tutus for drag queens of course! All I know is I need a great material which is washable as well as light and bouncy! I really must find more uses for a tutu! Maybe there is a scientist somewhere just waiting to have their life transformed by pink tulle?

After all, this is the real Pink Tutu life: embracing all your different sides, pushing boundaries and using your platform to inspire others. I guess you can call me a bit of a dreamer; my pink dreams really are boundless and you never know what will happen. I may be small but my Tutu goes far. Maybe I should start making them into hot air balloon? The possibilities are endless. I truly believe everyone should try on a Pink Tutu and see the world in a little more pink.

If you're ever in the Dover area, come and find me. Maybe we can have a Tutu dance party right by the cliffs. Until next time, darling, stay sparkly!

Love,

Pink Tutu Sparkles x
