Hello darlings! It's your favourite pink-tutu-wearing queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, signing in from Plymouth!
This week's journey was a bit of a whirlwind, but that's just the way I like it. The train journey was just delightful! It's not often you get to have a cuppa and watch the world go by, particularly in such glorious style. A bit of gossiping, a quick snap on the carriage window, and even a quick chat with the lovely gentleman selling Cornish pasties at the buffet car – life is good!
Plymouth was a lovely surprise! A real mix of the traditional and the modern, just like my favourite pair of vintage pink tutus! My hotel was pure romance, all frills and lace and fluffy pink towels. I felt like a proper princess – especially when I went to buy a souvenir (and you can bet it was pink!).
Plymouth is all about its seafront, with those fabulous cobbled streets – just begging for a stroll in my sequined heels! I picked up the most delicious pink sea salt ice-cream (don’t judge – pink is my favourite colour!).
You know me, my dear darlings. I just had to take in some culture. Plymouth Theatre Royal was absolutely dazzling! They had a fantastic show featuring the iconic ballet classic, Swan Lake, complete with fabulous pink tutus on the ballerinas. I even sneaked backstage – shhh! – and admired the dancers getting ready, all swathed in sparkling pink fabric.
I must confess, I also took a bit of a detour – I couldn’t resist dropping by a lovely little ballet class. It’s all part of being the tutu queen, keeping those moves sharp and learning some new ones too! Imagine, I had a chat with one of the adorable little ballerina students – I may have even shared some tips on my famous tutu twirling move!
Speaking of my tutu collection, darling – I’ve been looking everywhere for the perfect addition. There’s just something about a well-chosen tutu – a statement piece that really reflects your style. I actually managed to snag the most magnificent pale pink tutu, all silk and feathers and sparkling crystals – a bit of a splurge, but it’ll make such a fab centrepiece for my new performance.
Now, on to my performance at Plymouth’s own fair! It was amazing to be out in the heart of it, with all the bright lights and excitement. I'm lucky to perform in some amazing places - castles, barns, even one time in a treehouse! This time, the fairground lights cast a lovely pink hue over my entire outfit - so perfectly romantic, and it really captured everyone’s attention. It's all about embracing your inner queen!
The whole thing just reminded me why I love travelling so much. It’s a chance to meet so many lovely people and embrace all the joy and colour that life throws our way. It's also a great way to spread the pink tutu message - because everyone looks fabulous in pink tutu! You may need to take a deep breath, my dear darlings, because I believe it’s our mission to create a world where everyone wears pink tutus!
It's all about finding what makes your heart sing and going for it. And what makes my heart sing? A twirling tutu and the cheers of a happy audience!
