Hello lovelies! Itâs Pink Tutu Sparkles here, ready to shimmy and sparkle right into your hearts from the delightful city of Derby! Can you believe itâs post #5948 already? Where does the time go?! It's probably been lost in the endless whirl of tutus, glitter and the joy of performing. And what a week itâs been, filled with sparkles and all things pink. Itâs the stuff of dreams!
This time, I embarked on a whirlwind adventure by train! I must admit, train journeys hold a certain charm. All that scenery whizzing by, the rhythm of the rails, and the friendly chatter with fellow travellers, it's like being in a fairytale. Oh, and thereâs something truly magnificent about being on a train in a pink tutu! It makes people smile. I swear, my fellow passengers practically vibrated with joy as my feathers and sequins bounced through the carriage.
Speaking of joy, the main reason I landed in Derby was for a most wondrous ballet performance at the magnificent Derby Theatre! It was a captivating performance of âSwan Lakeâ. The graceful movements, the elegant costumes, and the expressive music â I was completely enthralled. You wouldnât believe it, but this particular show inspired a whole new choreography routine for me! Just wait until you see my âSwan Lakeâ inspired pink tutu number, darling, it's gonna be simply divine!
And Derby, you know, has a real theatrical heart! Itâs just teeming with creative energy. The city was just begging for a dose of pink tutu magic! Youâve heard of "ballet street" in the capital havenât you? Well, the streets of Derby seem to be in line for the same treatment. My dance classes, at the delightful Derwent Studios, are booming and the street is overflowing with enthusiastic dancers of all ages, and everyone is asking me to design pink tutus for them! Itâs going to be amazing!
I know, I know, you're thinking âAlex, how do you manage to find the time for all this?â Well, darlings, letâs just say I live a rather unique life! I mean, by day, I'm a scientist, whipping up magic in the lab, testing the latest and greatest fabrics, but by nightâŚoh darling, that's when the sparkle really comes alive! The world is my stage, and Pink Tutu Sparkles gets ready to glitter! I actually find it really helpful, the science helps me with the technical side of design for my tutus, knowing about fabric, and being in a lab does wonders for my concentration. I think it gives me the edge to keep going and doing everything!
The fun wasn't over yet! After all, a trip to Derby wouldn't be complete without indulging in some serious retail therapy. I mean, a queen's gotta keep her tutu game strong, right? I waltzed into the city's shops, like a pink tutu whirlwind! There were so many treasures waiting to be found â ribbons, lace, feathers, and, of course, pink tutus in all shapes and sizes! I was practically drowning in tulle! I could hardly keep my feathers still.
This weekend, I'm planning a lovely surprise for Derby. You know how I love my pink tutus. Well, I've been secretly preparing to open a âPink Tutu Boutiqueâ. You heard right darlings, Pink Tutu Boutique! Iâve been hard at work on the design, the decorations and finding just the right pink tutus for everyone to love. Itâs my biggest venture yet, and youâre invited to come and join the fun! I know it will be fabulous, and Derby's definitely ready for it!
But that's not all! Because letâs face it, I have to thank my lucky stars for the endless support from my fabulous fanbase, who are so generous with their compliments, their words of encouragement, and even those extra few pounds for my tutu travels. Oh darling, you know I adore that extra fuel! You truly keep the glitter going.
I'll be heading to York next week for my very first pink tutu workshop â where Iâll be sharing my knowledge and my passion for all things pink and fluffy! I am just bubbling with excitement at the thought of spreading the joy of pink tutus. Itâs not just about a costume, darlings, it's about empowerment. Itâs about expressing yourself, celebrating your uniqueness and embracing that inner spark of happiness!
