#TutuQueen on 2016-05-02 stars in Gloucester

Hello lovelies! 💖✨ It's your Tutu Queen here, Pink Tutu Sparkles, and I'm absolutely buzzing to be posting this from sunny Gloucester! 🌟 It feels so good to be back on the road, spreading my message of sparkle and joy. Today is a particularly exciting one - post number 5967! 🥳 Let me tell you, it's been a whirlwind of tulle, tiaras, and teacups! ☕

You see, my fabulous darlings, this little Derbyshire lass is absolutely hooked on travelling, and Gloucester was calling my name like a siren's song. 🌊 I'm absolutely besotted with this part of the world, its rich history, the stunning Cotswold scenery, and of course, the lovely people who welcome me with open arms and a healthy dose of enthusiasm. 🥰

Now, how did I get here? Well, let's just say, it wasn't by a fancy aeroplane. Nope, dear reader! It involved my absolute favourite mode of transport - the train! 🚂 I adore the rhythmic chugging, the beautiful landscapes flashing by, and the charming characters you meet along the way. The best bit? I always have a fabulously pink tutu ready to go for those cheeky impromptu performances! 💁‍♀️ You just never know, darling!

The journey itself was a right ol' hoot. I decided to dress up in a fabulous pink floral print midi skirt and a matching bolero top with the largest, pinkest feather boa I could find - gotta keep things interesting, don't we? 😉 The lovely lady opposite me (a retired florist) was absolutely delighted and we ended up chatting for ages about roses and sequins - who'd have thought, right?! 🌸

After I arrived, of course, the very first thing I did was indulge in a proper afternoon tea! 🍰 It’s non-negotiable, lovelies! You cannot visit a new town without trying a local afternoon tea. The clotted cream, the scones, the endless selection of finger sandwiches - all washed down with a lovely pot of tea. My absolute favourite spot was tucked away in a charming little cafe, run by a delightful gentleman named Percy who, let me tell you, is an absolute gem! He was absolutely thrilled with my pink tutu, saying it " brightened his day." 💕

Then came the highlight of the trip - the Gloucester Ballet Theatre! 🩰 It was simply divine, a real treat for my little pink Tutu-loving soul! They had put on a dazzling production of Swan Lake, complete with beautiful costumes, a graceful and skilled ensemble of dancers, and some real heart-wrenching moments. There was just something about seeing those stunning costumes that brought a little tear to my eye. 🥺

You know I love ballet. My friends always laugh because it's what I actually want to be when I grow up, ha! The grace, the artistry, the stunning costumes - just captivating! You'll be thrilled to know, lovelies, I took a class this morning! It was glorious, and a little bit of a struggle after my afternoon tea (scone crumbs, my dear!), but so much fun! 😜

And who needs a posh dress when you can have a stunning pink tulle tutu and sparkly top?! 😜 This is where I realised, though: being the "Pink Tutu Queen" wasn't all about the sparkly dresses and big smiles - although, they are pretty great. 😂 It's about reminding myself, and everyone around me, that you can be anything, dress as you wish, and never be afraid to express yourself, in the most outlandishly amazing, gloriously flamboyant way. ✨ 💖

There's always room for a little more pink tutu in the world. And remember, lovelies, even if you can’t twirl around in a dazzling tulle creation every day, don't be afraid to wear the colours and styles that make you feel radiant. 💖 There's an element of pure joy in this whole pink-tutu thing, and if I can bring a bit of that to Gloucester - or to anywhere, for that matter - I'm happy.
