Basingstoke Bound: Pink Tutu Sparkles Takes the Stage!

Helloooo my darling dears! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, ready to sashay into another post, number 5984, that's right 5984 posts! Can you believe it? I mean, you lovely lot are the absolute best, keeping me motivated to write all those dazzling words!

Today, I'm heading to Basingstoke, which you'll all know is one of the finest towns in the county (no bias here! Just the facts). I'm booked to perform at a charming little local venue, The Sugar Plum. They tell me there's a fabulous atmosphere, and they're even serving "Sparkling Unicorn," which sounds positively delightful! They also have these massive, beautiful stained glass windows that'll look stunning with the lights twinkling behind them. Oh my, this feels magical! I think I need to add this to my list of favourite venues – definitely putting it in the book for my next tour!

This morning started with my usual routine: ballet class! A little plié and pirouette to get those legs warmed up and that tutu-clad bod ready for the stage. Did you know that some of my signature moves came from years of ballet training? And guess what? The teacher is considering making pink tutus part of their uniform for the annual dance performance – I know, what a dream! Imagine the glorious spectacle! I might have had to give a little tutorial about the importance of fluff and feather, but they’re a receptive bunch. The new teacher just arrived from Paris and is so keen on anything glittery, that little did she know this Pink Tutu Sparkle had already swept the city for them!

And let me tell you, I’m not taking it easy this week, not a bit! It was just before lunch I found myself shopping for a new feather boa. A new feather boa – imagine! A stunning shade of shimmering pink, naturally, to match the new "Sparkle Rain" sequin tutu. This show is going to be all pink everything and I can hardly contain myself. The more pink the better, right?! My latest outfit, this one’s a "Princess Bubblegum" extravaganza. Picture this, my dears, think, well think bubblegum and sunshine.

How did I get here you ask? You know I like to arrive in style. There's a certain joy in travelling by train, watching the scenery roll by, sipping my "Pink Flamingo" cocktail (don’t worry it’s totally non-alcoholic!), and daydreaming about the evening's performance. There's something magical about the journey, about watching the landscape change, the houses and fields flitting past, reminding me of home in Derbyshire. Oh, Derbyshire! I had to spend an afternoon reminiscing and even visited the family farm! My lovely cousin's wedding is coming up too – so exciting!

By the way, did I mention the show is on a Saturday evening? We’re gonna have a ball! Well, I know I will! A ballgown, sparkly shoes, feather boa, that’s how this Queen will roll – just like we did last weekend. I am still giddy thinking about my performance at the local fayre, it was a smash! The children loved the show, there was glitter everywhere, the adults laughed and hooted, it was magical.

Back to this week’s adventure – after this one I have shows all across the country - there are even bookings at the local theater and a new ballet festival! There is such joy in spreading the gospel of the pink tutu, and what a fantastic feeling it is, knowing that this little queen from Derbyshire is lighting up the stages all across Britain! My mission is a noble one. If you want to spread the sparkle too, don’t forget to share my blog on all your favourite channels and keep spreading the Pink Tutu Sparkle love. I can’t wait to show you how it's done at Basingstoke – so be ready to feel the glitter and the joy and of course, the power of pink!

So there you have it, my lovely loves, the latest from yours truly! Keep checking back for more fun, fabulosity and, of course, pink tutu delights!

Lots of love, Pink Tutu Sparkles xoxo
