Hello darlings! It’s your favourite Pink Tutu Sparkles, signing in live from the glorious spa town of Royal Leamington Spa! This is post number 6061 (that’s right, over 6000 posts!) and I am bursting with excitement, just like a perfectly inflated pink balloon! 🎈
Now, some of you know the journey so far. Derbyshire lass turned shimmering science graduate, fuelled by a love for pink tutus, I’ve found myself taking the world (well, mainly the UK) by storm, one dazzling performance and captivating photograph at a time! And it all began with that little pink tutu…
Remember, back in the university days, the science labs were filled with beakers, Bunsen burners, and yes, a certain science graduate called Alex, who couldn’t quite seem to shake off the thrill of that one special pink tutu. You see, back then, it was just a charity fundraiser, a giggle, a laugh... but somewhere in that fluff and frills, I discovered myself, found Pink Tutu Sparkles! 💫
And who knew a love for science and a passion for dance could intertwine so magically? This science grad (and now drag artist) spends her days studying fabrics and chemicals in the lab, but by night, she transforms! A flash of pink tulle, a quick whizz of lipstick, and BAM! The fabulous Pink Tutu Sparkles takes to the stage, spreading joy and shimmering sparkle! ✨
Speaking of shimmering sparkle, my journey today has been most magical. This Royal Leamington Spa is quite the haven for those who love all things girly. It’s the perfect mix of old-world charm and modern chic, with just a dash of flamboyant, pink tutu-loving fun. 😄
Arriving at the station, the air buzzed with a sense of excitement. I mean, what's not to be excited about in a town named “Royal” and “Leamington”, you just know it's gonna be good! A leisurely train ride later (I am a self-proclaimed train aficionado), I waltzed into town, stopping at a local café for a pot of tea and a slice of Victoria sponge, which, in my humble opinion, should be served at every station in the entire country. 🫖🧁
Now, let me tell you, Royal Leamington Spa has the cutest boutiques and independent shops I’ve ever seen! Imagine vintage hats with plumes, feather boas, lace parasols, and every kind of pink imaginable… My little pink-loving heart was simply bursting. I bought myself a magnificent, floral-print tutu for my next show – gotta keep my wardrobe on trend! 🎀
The rest of my day was spent exploring the Royal Pump Rooms (just as glamorous as they sound!). There was an air of sophisticated charm in every corner – chandeliers, grand staircases, intricate artwork, you name it. A cuppa and some cucumber sandwiches were a perfect accompaniment. I simply couldn't resist a few twirls and dips in my sparkly pink tutu for a few Instagram photos!
And speaking of twirls… You already know how much I love my ballet! It’s my little escape from reality, my inner goddess unleashed, if you will. So you bet I found the most charming ballet studio tucked away in a little back street. It had everything a dancer's heart desires – wooden floors, beautiful barres, and even a stunning mural of a ballet dancer on the wall! My next stop is going to be ballet class! Who needs rehearsals when you can practise a grand jeté at the local studio? 🩰
Royal Leamington Spa also holds a special place in my heart because of its unique blend of history, charm, and artistry. The whole town just oozes romance. Just a thought… perhaps a fairytale themed performance in this town? I might be thinking of another tutu for the occasion. The more sparkle the better, right? ✨
The evening saw me hitting the town's legendary live music scene. And as if a musical symphony in a magical forest, there was a local talent show at the Royal Spa Centre! It's always a pleasure to watch aspiring talent flourish, and they had it all; from classical violinists to passionate blues singers! There's a touch of magic when you have the power of music to captivate. 🎶
Of course, no Pink Tutu Sparkles escapade would be complete without some of my own signature glitz and glamour. The audience was absolutely enchanted. You should see them clapping along, giggling and yelling for "more pink, more tutus!" It warmed my heart. I must admit, a sprinkle of glitter flew from the tutu on this one! I might have even accidentally thrown a few pieces to the excited audience! 💫
To finish off my spectacular day, I indulged in a divine cream tea at a vintage tearoom, savouring the perfect combination of warm scones, jam, and cream. Ah, life truly is a dream in Royal Leamington Spa. 🍓🥛
