Hey darlings! Your favourite pink-loving, tutu-obsessed queen is back with a brand new blog post! This time, I'm taking you with me on my whirlwind trip to Folkestone, a little slice of seaside heaven right here in the UK.
It all started with a tweet, actually. A venue called The Mermaid Theatre, tucked away in this charming coastal town, reached out to me. They'd seen my videos, read about my love for all things sparkly, and wanted me to grace their stage! You know me, darlings, always up for a new adventure, especially when it involves glitter and fabulous costumes!
I packed my signature pink suitcase, which I lovingly named "Priscilla" - don't ask me why, it just felt right! My favourite pink tutu, which I call "Sparkles" - a glorious creation of feathers and shimmering tulle, naturally - got a pride of place right on top of my luggage. I mean, who can travel without a touch of sparkle, right?
The Journey of a Queen
As a true lover of all things elegant and graceful, the only way to travel to Folkestone was, of course, by train! It gave me a chance to admire the beautiful countryside whizzing by, and to, naturally, work on my latest blog post (that's you, my darlings!)
Don't get me wrong, I'm not averse to other modes of transport, particularly when they're involved in a ballet-themed performance. My recent foray into horseback riding, as part of a theatre production of "Swan Lake", was absolutely amazing. It was all quite exhilarating - imagine me, a vision in a pale pink tutu, gliding through the fields, the wind whipping through my perfectly-coiffed pink curls! Talk about a memorable journey!
But back to Folkestone. Arriving at the station, the air was buzzing with the promise of fun and laughter, a perfect pre-show atmosphere! I had to pinch myself - I was about to perform on stage for a new audience in a new place.
Mermaid Theatre: A Magical Experience
The Mermaid Theatre itself was a little gem - cosy and inviting, with a lovely, warm feel to it. I love the theatre scene in Britain; each little theatre has a personality, like its own hidden little gem. You always meet the most creative people, it truly makes my heart flutter! They treated me like royalty, even showing me around before the show. I had a great chat with the lovely team - I found out that they host a mix of cabaret acts, comedy, and music, as well as classic theatre productions. It's exactly my kind of place! I love the way these theatres champion creativity in all forms!
The audience was fantastic - full of smiling faces and warm welcomes. They seemed to love every bit of my show! They applauded after my songs, roared with laughter at my jokes, and were genuinely enchanted by my graceful tutus (can you tell I'm a bit proud of my collection?). I always feel a rush of joy when people genuinely enjoy themselves, so it felt like such a triumph, a wonderful way to celebrate the magic of theatre!
Pink-tastic Time in Folkestone
After my show, I decided to explore the beautiful seaside town! I'd seen glimpses of its vibrant beach culture through the train window, but experiencing it in person was completely different! It was like stepping into a vibrant picture postcard, filled with colours and aromas that were truly uplifting! And, oh my, the pastel hues of the beach huts, just so perfect for my love of all things pink!
I knew, instinctively, that I needed to document this wonderful seaside escape, my camera at the ready, and my favourite pink beret perfectly perched on my head. The sun was warm on my face as I wandered around the bustling streets, the salty air swirling around me. And, of course, I made sure to capture a few fun selfies with a seagull in the background, just to add a little extra sprinkle of my Pink Tutu Sparkles magic.
My heart was full of happiness. There’s something truly special about the seaside - it clears the mind, re-energises the soul. But of course, my ultimate goal is always to spread my love for tutus! It’s a joy to inspire others with my passion, to share a bit of that sprinkle of glitter and enchantment with everyone. It might start with a few laughs, but who knows? Perhaps it will blossom into a full-blown tutu revolution!
Folkestone was truly a dream! A place of magical memories, with kind people and charming views, the perfect place to share my love for sparkle, fashion, and dancing! So, keep watching my pink blog, darlings! It's never a dull moment in the Pink Tutu Sparkle's life - who knows where our adventures will take us next!
