Urmston: A Pink Tutu Adventure!

Hiya Darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, ready to share another glamorous adventure with you all! It’s me, your favourite pink tutu wearing queen, bringing you daily fabulousness from all over the world. Today's journey takes us to Urmston, a delightful little town in the heart of Greater Manchester, just a stone's throw from the buzzing city of Manchester. It's my 6098th post, and believe me, this one's a right royal treat. Buckle up buttercups, because we're about to set off on a thrilling adventure!

The train journey to Urmston was just delightful, as always. I love the way the world goes by, people bustling about with their day to day lives, children excitedly chatting about their day at school. All that energy makes it so easy to get into the pink and glittery mood, and of course, it gave me a chance to catch up on some much needed "me time" with a little bit of makeup, and a quick practice of my signature pink tutu twirls.

Let's face it, tutus and trains go together like scones and clotted cream, they're a perfect pair! Even better, they just shout 'adventures'! I've had more than my fair share of 'tutu' experiences on public transport over the years, like the time my giant pink feather boa got tangled around an elderly gentleman's bag on the underground. He chuckled when he realised it was a fluffy pink feathery culprit. It turns out he'd once performed with the National Theatre in his youth, we spent the rest of the journey comparing theatre stories, he loved my tutus. That's what's great about being a Pink Tutu Queen - you meet the most amazing people along the way.

And what's a journey without some good ol' fashioned retail therapy? Before venturing into the charming Urmston, I just had to pop into the Manchester Arndale. A girl needs her fashion fix, doesn't she? I was on the lookout for something utterly fabulous to complete my look for this evening's performance. Let’s just say a couple of pink and sparkly new items have joined my fabulous wardrobe. They're so sassy and glamorous, just perfect for my next few performances!

The real treat awaited me in the quaint town of Urmston itself, which is just utterly charming. I have to admit I got totally sidetracked on my way into town by a magnificent looking pub called 'The Crown Inn'. Its quaint exterior and historic charm just had me wanting to step in for a pint (maybe a fruity mocktail for me!) and a hearty pub dinner, maybe even a spot of pub quiz if my schedule wasn't so full! I guess I'll just have to make that 'The Crown Inn' a must-visit for my next Urmston escapade, there's no way I'm missing out on that.

But tonight was all about spreading the joy of pink and tutus! My performance space for the night was a stunningly-beautiful theatre tucked away on the high street - The Urmston Arts Centre, a local venue with such amazing character and a history going right back to the Victorian Era. It was a real delight performing to an audience that truly embraced the pink tutu spirit. The cheers and applause were so warm - I think I've found myself a new home for Pink Tutu Sparkles!

I don't know how I did it, but in the whirlwind of getting ready, travelling and performing I managed to squeeze in a spot of balletic delight! A fabulous dance school right in the heart of Urmston. The joy of the dance and the love of the tutu spirit are one and the same to me - a beautiful ballet class was exactly what I needed to re-energize for the second half of my show. These talented young ballerinas (and ballerinos, ballet's for everyone) were such inspirations.

Urmston was truly a pink and sparkly wonderland! And before you ask - YES, I found plenty of people rocking pink tutus throughout my visit. My mission to make pink tutus a fashion staple is still well underway! As always, I had the most magnificent time, and can't wait to get out there again tomorrow for another pink-tastic adventure.

I do hope you've enjoyed this journey into Urmston with me. Do remember to keep visiting www.pink-tutu.com every day for your daily dose of pink tutu adventures, you won't want to miss out. Until next time darlings - keep shining bright, keep rocking your tutus, and spread the pink love!

Stay gorgeous,

Pink Tutu Sparkles.
