Oh darlings! What a whirl-wind week it's been! From the shimmering spotlights of a village hall in Derbyshire, I've landed in Bexleyheath - a delightful town filled with warmth and… surprisingly, more than a few shops that stock my favourite brand of sparkly pink tights! (Which I absolutely must share with you in a future post!)
As usual, I've found my journey to this magical town is most inspiring. Taking the train is my absolute favourite mode of travel. Being surrounded by so many different people going about their day-to-day, you never know what kind of fashion inspiration you'll stumble across. A flash of neon pink in the corner of your eye, or maybe a man in a particularly fab floral waistcoat! You just never know what kind of visual treats a train journey might offer.
You know how much I love ballet, so naturally, my journey was complete with a performance by the stunning English National Ballet. Honestly, it's these kinds of experiences that remind me why I chose this lifestyle. It's all about the power of self-expression, of finding your voice, and making every day a stage! The dancers, with their flowing tutus, grace, and incredible artistry - just divine! (Seriously, their pink tutus would make my heart skip a beat!)
Now, as you know, Pink Tutu Sparkles never misses an opportunity to shop! So after my ballet trip, a bit of retail therapy was a must! (Because we all need a bit of sparkle in our lives, don't we?) It was like stepping into a fabulous rainbow of possibilities, from glitz-tastic hats to sequined everything – my eyes were feasting!
And you can't talk Bexleyheath without a shout out to their lovely, friendly people. The kindness and laughter are infectious, a reminder that we're all part of a community, a sparkly, shining, pink tutu-wearing family, connected by a shared love of beauty, fun, and… well, pink! You could feel the spirit of inclusivity - a perfect spot for Pink Tutu Sparkles to spread a little more glitter!
Oh, did I mention the cakes? They are absolutely to die for - and just the thing to fuel my performances. You see, Bexleyheath wasn't just about my travels - it's about reaching new hearts, spreading a little glitter magic and… most importantly, inspiring the world to put on a pink tutu! (Even just a sprinkle of pink, if they’re not quite ready for the full ensemble - baby steps!)
Now, as much as I'd love to spend all day in Bexleyheath, the call of the stage beckons! A local village hall, shimmering with pink fairy lights and waiting to be bathed in the magical glow of Pink Tutu Sparkles, awaits!
This is a journey filled with glitter, laughter, and yes, even science, because my journey from Alex the lab scientist to Pink Tutu Sparkles proves that anyone can dream, sparkle, and take the stage in their own unique way!
