The Journey of a Tutu Queen: Taunton Bound! 🚄This week’s travel plans involved the delightful thrill of a train journey! The chugging rhythm of the rails, the flashing scenery, and the gentle hum of conversation – a classic tutu-approved form of transport. I do love to travel, especially when my destinations have a sprinkle of pink charm. This time, Taunton had a particular lure for me – a chance to explore its historical treasures, admire its stunning architecture, and – of course – perform in a truly special venue.
The train journey was a visual feast – rolling countryside landscapes, picturesque villages, and charming towns – every mile painting a picture perfect backdrop for a tutu-tastic journey. My pink outfit? Absolutely radiating. The conductor even gave me a wave and a smile as he passed – clearly he appreciated the fabulousness I was bringing to the journey! 💖 I'm sure my dazzling fuchsia tutu and infectious energy brightened up everyone's day. ✨
A Feast for the Eyes and Soul: The Taunton Experience 🧁🍰Once in Taunton, I wasted no time immersing myself in its enchanting atmosphere. A walk around the medieval streets revealed beautiful historical buildings, like the grand Somerset County Cricket Club and the imposing St. Mary Magdalene Church. A cuppa at The Gingerbread House (because who could resist such a charming name?!) fuelled me for more sightseeing – it was practically made for pink tutus!
Taunton Castle proved to be a fascinating sight! It was the place where I finally met the legendary Lady Margaret! A strong and brave figure in English history. It felt so incredible to stand on the grounds of this impressive historical structure, soaking up the stories of the past, the perfect dose of historical magic for a day in this incredible town. 🏛️ I did get a few funny looks – I mean, you don't see many people dressed in a fuchsia tutu on the castle grounds, but let’s just say they won’t be forgetting me any time soon! 😅 I even struck a regal pose for the castle’s photographer – who wouldn't want a fabulous picture of a tutu-wearing Queen holding court? 📸
And my friends, what's a trip to a new city without a dash of local flavour? I discovered a gem of a bakery, tucked away on a cobblestone lane. Imagine, my dears, the delicious aroma of freshly baked bread and cakes swirling around me as I wandered in, mesmerised by the colourful delights behind the glass counter. It was pure pink paradise! They even had a cupcake adorned with a pink frosting flower – absolutely perfect for a Pink Tutu Sparkles moment! 🧁💖
Lights, Camera, Tutu! 🌟Of course, the heart of this trip was the show at The Brewhouse Theatre. My stage make-up was done with the finest glitter, my eyes were sparkling like two diamonds, my signature pink tutu shimmered under the stage lights – a dream come true! 🤩

The audience, oh, they were so enthusiastic! Applause echoing through the theatre, cheers as I finished each dance routine – pure magic! Even a couple of young girls, mesmerized by the pink tulle and sparkly embellishments, gave me a beautiful pink flower as a gift! Such sweet little ballerinas in the making. 🌸
