Today I'm buzzing from my trip to the beautiful town of Dunfermline in Fife, Scotland. Now, if you know me, you know I'm all about a good old-fashioned train journey, and this trip was no different! It felt like I was stepping back in time, gazing out of the window at rolling green hills, charming stone villages, and even a couple of sheep just hanging out by the track! 🐑🚂
Once I reached Dunfermline, my heart just about burst! This town has an energy all of its own, steeped in history with the awe-inspiring Dunfermline Abbey standing tall like a beacon of past grandeur. It was a true blast from the past - the perfect setting for a TutuQueen who loves a little history and a whole lot of sparkle! ✨
My day began with a trip to the local artisan market. Imagine my delight at finding a stall overflowing with gorgeous handmade tutus! We're talking silk, feathers, and all sorts of glamorous trims - it was like a tutu fairyland! Needless to say, I emerged with a few additions to my collection...because one can never have too many tutus, right?! 💖
The highlight of my day was a performance at the local theatre. It was a wonderfully eclectic crowd, and let me tell you, these folk know how to party! It was so much fun bringing the pink to Dunfermline, and I had everyone swirling, shimmying, and shining. The air was filled with the sound of laughter and applause, and my heart was bursting with joy. 🎶🤩
My stay wasn't just about glitter and glam, though. Dunfermline has a delightful, almost magical air. It feels like a town brimming with stories waiting to be discovered. It's the kind of place where you just get swept away by its charm, and the cobbled streets, friendly faces, and charming shops felt like something out of a fairytale. 📖✨
Speaking of fairytale charm, can we talk about the delicious afternoon tea I indulged in? A perfect blend of dainty sandwiches, sweet treats, and of course, plenty of steaming hot tea. Absolutely heavenly! You know what, darlings, it's times like these that remind me how much joy simple pleasures can bring. 😌
As I embarked on my journey home, I felt the echoes of the Dunfermline experience resonating within me. I left with a renewed love for exploring, for bringing joy to people's faces, and for reminding everyone of the magic that can be found in a good dose of glitter, sparkles, and… of course… a pink tutu. 💖

A Derbyshire native, my journey to the world of sequins and sparkles started in the most unexpected of places: a university lab! I was studying for a science degree when I stumbled upon a charity event, donned a pink tutu for a giggle, and my life was changed forever. 😂💖
By day, you can find me hunched over a microscope, testing fabrics and creating the next generation of innovative materials. But by night, it’s time for transformation, as I step onto the stage as Pink Tutu Sparkles. A drag queen with a heart of glitter and a love for tutus as deep as the ocean, my mission is to share the joy of self-expression and encourage everyone to embrace their unique sparkle! ✨
Oh, and did I mention I have a little obsession with the color pink? From my hair to my tutu to my signature pink-frosted lips, it's safe to say pink is more than just a colour; it's my attitude! 💖
I travel all over, performing in theatres, fairs, festivals – even busking on street corners! Anything that gives me the opportunity to bring the sparkle and celebrate the joy of dressing up and being yourself!
