Hello my precious peaches! It's your girl, Pink Tutu Sparkles, and boy, oh boy, have I got a tale to tell you! I'm back from another fabulous journey, this time to the charming seaside town of Deal, a place that made my pink tutu heart flutter with joy!
I arrived in Deal by train, of course. No aeroplane for this girly! My glamorous pink luggage matched my pink tutu perfectly, I looked so chic, I nearly bumped into a postbox, ha! I was feeling especially sassy, rocking my latest fuchsia feather boa - a recent vintage find - with a pair of sparkly pink heels and, of course, my signature pink tulle masterpiece!
As soon as I hopped off the train, I could smell the salty air, feel the soft sand between my sparkly pink toes and hear the cries of seagulls overhead. I swear, it felt like the town was giving me a warm, sparkly pink welcome!
My first stop? The adorable Deal Pier, of course. I found the most picturesque cafe on the pier, all floral and lace. My cuppa tea was delicious, served in a china teapot, and the cakes? Simply divine, darlings! I'm a firm believer in afternoon tea, especially with a side of gorgeous seaside scenery!
After my lovely afternoon tea, it was time to explore the cobbled streets of Deal. You'd think it would be a challenge in my fab heels, but nary a stumble, dear! I adore quaint old buildings - they're practically a backdrop for my photo shoots, ha! - so Deal ticked all my boxes! It was a charming potpourri of antique shops, sweet little bakeries, and quirky boutiques with delightful clothing to make my inner fashionista sing!
My quest in Deal was to find the most enchanting fabric store – for you see, a new pink tutu design has been brewing in my creative brain! After a quick stop at the stunning Deal Castle, a real castle, love, I hit the jackpot in a delightful little shop called “Sew and So." It was stuffed full of every kind of material imaginable, from delicate silks to glitzy fabrics that could only have come from the rainbow itself. The shop owner, a dear little thing called Doris, loved my pink tutu - we even had a proper girly chat about embroidery, she even showed me her collection of antique sewing needles, so fancy, darling!
That evening, my heart soared, darling. The Deal pier is a hotspot for theatre performances, so imagine my excitement when I heard that they were putting on a show with - wait for it – a tutu dance finale! Naturally, I had to perform! After all, every venue deserves a touch of Pink Tutu Sparkles! It was absolutely magical; the pier twinkled with fairy lights and everyone seemed so enchanted by my performance.
The night ended with a delicious seafood supper - freshly caught, naturally – in a traditional restaurant by the beach. A big, pink glass of bubbles completed the picture - perfect, darling!
Deal left my heart as sparkly as a pink tutu after a good clean, darling! It was a trip that had it all: history, laughter, stunning views, beautiful clothes and - of course - a scampering of fun for every pink-tutu-loving fairy amongst us.
Next stop, the Cotswolds! Oh, I'm already making plans to buy the most amazing vintage teacups!
