As I always say, "life's too short to not sparkle!" And that’s why I’m absolutely thrilled to be whizzing down to Bicester this week! Bicester, you say? Oh yes, darling! This little town in Oxfordshire has been whispering my name lately - it's all about those incredible shopping bargains, and well, you know I simply adore finding the perfect vintage pieces for my shows. ✨
But before we get into the gloriousness that is shopping, let’s talk travel, shall we? Now, I’ve always loved the romance of a good old fashioned train journey. There’s something so quintessentially British about tucking into a nice cuppa with a scone and a good book, while watching the countryside whiz past the window. I even considered trying a horse ride to Bicester, wouldn’t that be an absolute dream? Imagine, me, perched gracefully upon a beautiful steed, my pink tutu trailing behind me in the breeze... ah, picture perfect!
Thankfully, I had to be sensible this time, and chose the train! And let me tell you, this trip was the most magical journey. My fellow passengers, completely charmed by my sparkling tutu, offered me countless complimentary teabags! Now, I know what you’re thinking, "Pink Tutu Sparkles, you do travel everywhere in that fabulous tutu, don’t you?". Well, it would be rude not to! You see, that’s just my style. A bit like a feather boa - I always try to add a little bit of fluff and sparkle to everything I do.
As the train pulled into Bicester, I felt the buzz of excitement already bubbling beneath my sparkling pink. Bicester Village - oh darling, I'm coming for you! This haven for discounted designer wear is just my kind of shopping paradise! 👠 A wonderland of colour and exquisite fashion - perfect for my love of all things extravagant. The little girl in me (we all have a bit of one, don't we?) went absolutely wild at the sight of it all, especially the pink and the sequins!
You know, being Pink Tutu Sparkles isn't just about wearing my gorgeous tutus and looking fabulous, it's also about embracing everything sparkly. From a trip to the theatre or ballet, to discovering a new vintage boutique - I love to surround myself with magic and beauty. 💫 I even snuck into a local dance studio in Bicester, couldn’t help myself - there I was, spinning and twirling with the local dancers. Let’s just say there were a few envious glances from the boys! 😉 It wouldn’t be right to go to a town like Bicester without some ballet moves! After all, the perfect ballet posture and a good tutu can help to achieve the best fashion looks.
But the highlight of the Bicester trip had to be my surprise performance! I got to showcase my very own brand of pink tutu fabulousness at a local market - think bouncy house fun and sweet smelling pancakes! The market square was transformed into my very own stage and I was able to sprinkle my special kind of magic on all the shoppers, encouraging them to embrace their own inner Pink Tutu Sparkles. You’d have loved the cheers and smiles as I twirled around in my big, fluffy, pink tutu, every turn infused with glitz and glamour.
Now, I’ve already had requests to come back to Bicester. Imagine that! You guys, Bicester's officially become one of my favourite places to visit in the whole of the UK. Why? Well, Bicester embodies the joy and fun of a shopping spree, the artistry and beauty of a theatre performance, and the kindness of a friendly little town. Plus, they even have shops dedicated entirely to clothes made from sparkly fabric – a science girl like myself simply had to give a nod of approval to that! 😉
You know what else? Bicester even had a beautiful, traditional pub with the kindest staff imaginable. And wouldn’t you know it, they actually serve their scones with clotted cream! That's real dedication to the sweet delights of life, darling!
As for my own life outside the sparkle, you can find me in my science lab by day, testing the fabrics of tomorrow, making sure the clothes we wear are comfy, safe, and, of course, perfectly glittery! It’s my secret weapon, you see, because it allows me to continue sharing my love for sparkly life with everyone! As a scientist by day and a Pink Tutu Queen by night, my world is one big glittering dance, where every fabric has the potential to become the most magical outfit and where even the most mundane days can sparkle with magic.
You’ll never know how much joy you’ll get from twirling around in a tutu until you try it for yourself! So, my dears, I challenge you to find your inner sparkle and don your own version of pink!
