Brighton Sparkle! 🩰✨

Hello my darling darlings, it's your favourite pink tutu-clad queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here with a whole new sparkly blog post about my fabulous Brighton adventures! Brighton, oh Brighton, what a joy to be back in your embrace! 🎉 The sea breeze, the colourful shops, the bustling atmosphere... it's just so my style, darling.

And just imagine my delight when I realised this was the perfect opportunity to fulfil one of my biggest dreams... drumroll... ballet class by the beach! 🌊🩰

It's not every day a drag queen gets to pirouette under the British seaside sunshine, you know? 💖 The seagulls hooted along to the music as we practised our arabesques and pliés, and I swear, the waves were clapping in time to our graceful movements.

I think you might already know my little secret... I am totally obsessed with ballet, darling. I've been taking classes since I was a little kid. In fact, I even dragged… well, I mean, helped my Mum through those little-girl-dance-lessons you find everywhere! 💖 And ever since I put on my very first pink tutu back in university days (for a charity fundraiser, darling - and I won Best Costume, if you can believe it! 🤩), my obsession for the colour and for those sparkly tutus only grew and grew.

But my love of pink tutus doesn’t end with my own personal wardrobe! I want everyone to experience the magic! 💫 That’s why I have a mission, darlings. It’s called #SpreadTheTutu! I truly believe everyone in the world should put on a pink tutu at least once in their lives. It’s a guaranteed way to boost your confidence, express yourself, and bring a smile to everyone’s face. 😊

Back in Brighton, I was definitely spreading the tutu vibes all around. 🌈 I had a delightful encounter with a group of young school girls who were in awe of my fluffy tutu (and rightfully so!). They told me about their school play where they all had to dress as butterflies, but this one girl just had to wear pink. It made my heart so full! 🥺 Just look at them! Even when I'm dressed up in a sparkling tutu and heavy makeup, I can connect with children. Sometimes that's all you need to change a whole generation. It might be my mission, but honestly, sometimes, we all need to let go of the past and just… dance!💃 That's the beauty of a pink tutu, it’s a symbol of letting go of inhibitions and just embracing your inner joy. ✨

You know, one of the great things about this Pink Tutu Sparkles gig is that I've got this wonderful excuse to get out there and experience life on the road, like a fabulous fairytale travelling queen. 🎠 Today, it was a ride on the Brighton to Eastbourne train with its incredible view of the Sussex countryside (so idyllic, so picturesque!), But I have also travelled to other, more… well, dare I say, adventurous, places in the past few months! I’ve seen so much of Britain - and all the way to Amsterdam in Holland too, but my latest performance (let me tell you! - It was at an incredibly popular London theatre!), was reached via a much more whimsical and scenic mode of transport…. a horse! 🐎

Yes, my darlings, that’s right, a horse! Can you believe it? It was the most fabulous way to make an entrance, even if my outfit was a tad dusty by the time I reached the venue. But I must admit, even after years of travelling across the UK, sometimes I have to pull over and stop and smell the lavender… or, maybe have a photo shoot under a windmill. It’s the life I've chosen, my darling, the Pink Tutu Sparkle life, full of surprises, adventures, and plenty of pink, naturally.💖

So, until next time, darlings! Keep on sparkling! 🌟

Pink Tutu Sparkles out! 💋
