Today’s adventure sees me venturing beyond the sparkly confines of Derbyshire, boarding a train and heading south to Watford! 🚄 It's not exactly the glitz and glamour of a West End show, but every queen knows sometimes you gotta travel to find the right kind of magic!
Watford, it turns out, holds a secret, little gem that makes this adventure all the more exciting – The Watford Palace Theatre! I mean, theatre?! Ballet?! This gal is in her element! 💖 You already know how much I love a good tutu twirl, but there's something truly special about being surrounded by fellow lovers of dance and storytelling.
This time around, I'm not just going for the show, though! The wonderful Watford Palace Theatre are hosting a Tutu Workshop! My fellow fashion-forward femmes and dapper gents, get this – a whole day dedicated to crafting the most glamorous tutus imaginable. Pink? Obvs! 🤪 And the best bit? It's all in aid of charity, raising money for the Arts, just like my university days where it all started.
Speaking of which, I think it's time for a little #TBT! Flashback to those hazy student days when I, the humble lab rat, Alex, was just starting my journey as Pink Tutu Sparkles. 🧪 It was at a university charity event where I first discovered the sheer joy of a pink tutu, a feeling that set my soul on fire, and the rest, as they say, is history!
Fast forward to today, and here I am, strutting into a new adventure, tutu in hand, ready to inspire some dazzling new creations! 🩰 Who knew that a love of dance and a splash of pink could take me from a laboratory to the stage and all across the country, bringing sparkle wherever I go?
Of course, this queen never travels without her trusty fashion pack – that’s the suitcase with an endless supply of shimmer, sequins, and of course, a kaleidoscope of pink tutus. 💅🏼 And let me tell you, the sheer joy of finding the perfect tutu at the right shop, watching the delicate layers fall as the perfect fabric hits the light... truly the highlight of my week!
What makes my journeys even more fun, however, is the magical journey on the railways. The clacking of the tracks, the views whizzing by, the chance to strike up conversations with fellow travelers... you just never know who you might meet, or where a spark of creativity will come from. And for those moments when even trains are not glamourous enough? Well, let’s just say that finding a horse to ride can never be a bad thing! 🐎
