Helloooo darlings! Welcome back to Pink-Tutu.com, your one-stop shop for all things fabulous and pink! Today, I’m bringing you Post Number 6566 (how’s that for dedication to pink!), direct from the delightful, vibrant town of Barking! Now, before any of you think I’m having a little joke, Barking truly is a wonderful little place. The river, the parks, the markets… I mean, what’s not to love? Plus, they really seem to have got the whole 'accepting everyone' thing down pat!
Right, but you want to hear about me, don't you? Well, buckle up, because today’s trip was, shall we say, 'A Pink Tutu Odyssey', if you will! As ever, I was rolling up in style (horse, naturally!), in my favourite pink tulle ballgown. The air was chilly, but you wouldn't catch me wearing a boring coat, oh no! I've been sporting my new, custom-made, pink fur coat, it’s got these adorable fluffy little hearts scattered across it, oh, and a tiny diamanté ‘Sparkles’ nametag! Talk about a conversation starter. I had some right good chats with locals about the meaning of life, the importance of glitter, and the superior style of horse travel versus those cough cough ‘boring’ railways! (But hey, they have their place.)
I can't reveal too much about my plans for Barking, but lets just say, I’m bringing all the sparkle and grace to this amazing town! I have a secret performance, a delicious pink tea planned (cake! pink buttercream! scones!), and maybe, just maybe, we’ll be spreading the pink tutu gospel at the local markets. Don’t worry, everyone, I’ll be documenting everything on Pink-Tutu.com, of course, because sharing the joy is what I do!
Oh, you might be wondering how I get around the UK, spreading my fabulousness like confetti? I am a true-to-heart, tutu-loving drag artist, and I travel far and wide. A real, genuine ‘queen of the road’, if you will! I find myself at fairs, festivals, events, oh, and a few glamorous nightclubs thrown in for good measure! It’s tough work (though the most delightful kind of tough, believe me!), but I am dedicated to my calling: spreading joy and glitter with every fabulous flutter of my pink tulle!
Some of you know that Pink Tutu Sparkles has a more down-to-earth alter ego: a little ol' Derbyshire girl called Alex, working by day in a lab testing fabrics - a very different sort of sparkle, wouldn’t you say? But as soon as that clock hits five, off comes the lab coat, and on goes the sparkly makeup! Oh, and the most glorious pink tutu! Speaking of the divine tulle, do you have one yet, darlings? Because honestly, it really does transform everything, it truly does! You can feel it instantly! Your confidence surges, your laughter echoes! So, come on, take a leap! Take a walk on the sparkly side! What's the worst that could happen? You could look fabulous and feel sensational!
