Hello my darlings! It's your girl, Pink Tutu Sparkles, back again with another adventure in the name of pink, fluff, and…well, basically everything sparkly!
Today's post, number 6565 for those keeping count (and who isn't?!), finds me in Loughborough, a delightful town that's giving off major ballet chic vibes. I can't even begin to tell you how excited I was to hit the tracks (the train tracks, of course, as horse riding is a little out of reach in these parts) and head to Loughborough!
Remember last week's blog? Where I spoke about a little thing called destination pink? Well, Loughborough definitely hit the spot. The town was practically designed with a pink tutu in mind, from the pastel hues of the shops to the delightfully quaint tea rooms – every corner screamed pink princess dreamland! It was truly the perfect spot to channel my inner ballerina.
And speaking of ballerina, darling, have I got a story for you! As soon as I got off the train, I was whisked away to the most delightful vintage boutique. Oh, my word! You wouldn't believe the stash of tulle they had. We're talking vintage fabrics, beautiful colours, and yes…you guessed it…a *whole corner dedicated to pink! *
I'm pretty sure I've never purchased as much tulle in my life. Now, let's just say my bank account isn't thrilled with me at the moment, but, hey! When life gives you tulle, you make a pink tutu! You're gonna be seeing me strutting my stuff in some absolutely phenomenal new creations at the next event. Be warned, it's gonna be fabulous!
After my tulle shopping spree, we ventured off to the local dance school, a charming, little gem of a place. I mean, this place wasn't just any dance school – oh no, this one was brimming with a whole load of Pink Tutu Sparkles energy! We even managed to squeeze in a quick class, me and the locals (you know, I was giving them some "expert" advice – they all need to channel their inner tutu-wearing fabulousness! It's the law). It was just the perfect amount of fun and frills to complete a day filled with pink tutu joy!
Later that night, it was time for the highlight of the day - a breathtaking ballet performance. A Symphony in Pink, it was called. A Symphony in Pink, you say? I just couldn't resist. It was incredible – graceful dancers, elegant costumes, and even a cameo by…well, me, of course! Who needs a guest spot when you're Pink Tutu Sparkles?!
After the performance, it was off to a charming little bistro with the troupe. It was full of laughter, good food, and, of course, discussions about tutu construction techniques (I have so many plans for my new tulle finds, honey!). What better way to finish a day than amongst wonderful new friends who shared a passion for pink and tutus?!
I can’t wait to return to Loughborough. It’s been a magical experience, reminding me of everything that makes being Pink Tutu Sparkles so wonderful! From the amazing stores and performances, to the friendly faces, Loughborough truly knows how to party pink.
