Hello, darlings! It’s your girl, Pink Tutu Sparkles, reporting live from the charming seaside town of Littlehampton, where the wind whips through my sparkly pink tutu, threatening to send me swirling like a mischievous fairy! Today, however, it's not a fairy tale adventure I'm on. It's a quest for festive fun, fuelled by gingerbread lattes and a whole lot of twirling.
A Journey of Tulle and Trains
Now, as you all know, I'm a big fan of traveling. It’s the perfect opportunity to wear my tutus to all corners of this glorious isle, to spread the pink tulle gospel and witness the wonders of the world through a cloud of shimmering fabric. For this trip, I opted for the old-fashioned charm of a train journey. The gentle rocking of the carriages, the friendly chatter, the delicious aroma of hot cross buns from the trolley… It's just so romantic! Plus, I had enough space to pack my entire wardrobe - and let’s face it, a true drag queen never leaves home without a mountain of feather boas and sparkly hats!
Pinkalicious!
Littlehampton is just the sort of place that makes my heart sing – the salty air, the brightly-coloured beach huts, the ice cream shops with rainbow cones... Oh, how I love to blend in with the whimsy! My aim, as always, is to spread pink joy and inspire everyone to wear a tutu. I spotted a few girls today already sporting fabulous tutus, and I have a feeling that my presence here will have a sparkly ripple effect throughout the town! I'm like the Pied Piper, but with more pink feathers.
From Lab Coat to Stage
You know, I’m a bit of a science nerd at heart. By day, I wear my white lab coat and test fabrics in a lab, searching for the perfect blend of durability and dazzlingness (a science called "glitterology"). By night, the lab coat comes off, and I transform into Pink Tutu Sparkles! It’s like a magical switcheroo, from examining microfibres to dazzling on stage. Honestly, being a scientist by day and a queen by night is exhausting but exhilarating. It keeps me on my toes, or rather, my tippy-toes.
My Tutu Journey Began…
Speaking of toes, my love affair with tutus began in university, a most unexpected place! You see, I was part of the ballet club. They were raising money for a local children's charity and, well, let's just say I fell in love with the feel of tulle, the way it danced around me... it was pure magic! From then on, my wardrobe transformed into a celebration of pink. A tutu queen was born!
Littlehampton Lights
The Littlehampton Christmas Lights are, let’s just say, a sight to behold. I was awestruck by the sparkling trees and shimmering snowflakes. I have to say, it really inspired my Christmas look! (Can you even believe those snowflake-inspired glitter earrings I found in a little boutique on the pier? They were begging to be worn with a glittering pink tutu, don’t you think?) Festive Delights
This evening, I’m indulging in a festive treat – a Christmas buffet at the local theater! Think festive roasted turkey, Brussel sprouts galore, and creamy mashed potatoes with just the right touch of garlic. My tutu will have to hold firm against all that deliciousness, but don’t worry, I’ll make sure to pace myself! And later on, there's a Christmas show in the theatre! I love seeing the dancers fly across the stage. I'm just giddy with anticipation! And you know me, my tutu will be there, shining alongside the twinkling stage lights.
A New Year’s Tutu-lution
Oh, Littlehampton, you've truly enchanted me. But it's time to move on! My tutu has an appointment to make with a new city, a new adventure, a new bunch of sparkly folks to inspire!
