Hello, lovelies! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, reporting live from the stunning seaside town of Folkestone! 💅 It’s been a whirlwind few days filled with seaside breezes, gorgeous sunsets, and (of course) plenty of fabulous pink tulle. This is post number 6585, and as always, I’m ready to share all the glittery goodness with you on www.pink-tutu.com.
As I've mentioned before, my life as Pink Tutu Sparkles is all about sharing the joy of sparkle, and Folkestone just happened to be the perfect setting for that. I arrived at the train station in a flurry of tulle, my blush pink tutu practically waving to the passing seagulls, and immediately felt a warmth and welcoming vibe. This town knows how to embrace colour and energy, and that just made me want to twirl even more! 💃
After settling in, I went straight for the seafront. The sunshine on the white cliffs, the sound of the waves crashing, and the salty air – pure bliss! I took a deep breath and let the feeling of pure happiness fill me. As a proud Derbyshire lass, I appreciate a good view and a bracing wind, and Folkestone provided both in abundance. The energy was just infectious, like being at a seaside party without a care in the world!
Adventures in Folkestone
Folkestone's got such a cool vintage vibe to it, and I instantly felt a bit of a vintage glamour queen walking through the cobbled streets, my pink tulle trailing behind me like a sassy mermaid's tail. It's definitely a place where I feel free to be my full, twirly self! The little boutiques are filled with treasures waiting to be discovered, from antique jewellery to quirky souvenirs - a true drag queen's delight.
I couldn't resist indulging in a spot of shopping, of course, adding some more fabulous finds to my already overflowing wardrobe. Let's just say that my suitcase is now a glorious kaleidoscope of colour thanks to my new sparkly tops and feather boas. I may or may not have bought another tutu... (it was a blush pink, with an adorable sequin pattern! How could I resist?!).
Of course, a trip to the seaside wouldn't be complete without some delectable seafood. Folkestone didn't disappoint! Fresh fish, juicy prawns, and crisp chips - it was a true feast for the senses, even the gulls were squawking with delight!
A Touch of the Theatrical
Folkestone has such a vibrant artistic community! My heart was stolen by the charming Leas Cliff Hall, with its stunning Victorian architecture and theatrical history. I imagine it bursting with stories and memories - the echo of applause, the scent of makeup, and the whispers of anticipation.
The Leas Cliff Hall is also home to a thriving community theatre, which was truly inspirational. Their productions sounded so much fun, with musical extravaganzas and dramatic performances, a wonderful celebration of imagination and artistry! It's the kind of place where the impossible becomes possible, just like my own dream of spreading the tutu love.
And then, of course, there’s the magic of the Shakespearean gardens, right next to the seafront! Imagine stepping into a world of whimsical Shakespearean romance while watching a performance under the starlit sky. The perfect setting for a whimsical tutu moment! I could picture myself dancing amongst the blossoms, wearing my favourite pale pink tutu with matching glitter pumps – absolutely picture-perfect!
Spread the Tutu Love
As a fellow advocate for all things sparkly, I want to encourage you to let your inner fabulousness shine, wherever you are. Don't be afraid to express yourself, to try something new, to make a splash with colour, to stand out from the crowd, and most importantly, to have fun. Life is too short not to twirl in a pink tutu! I'm sure I saw some folk in Folkestone that felt the same! I’m on a mission to inspire everyone to wear their pink tutus – and if they do, who knows where the magic might lead? Folkestone has certainly helped fuel my vision for spreading tutu love, and that's exactly what I plan to do!
