And boom! Pink was my new everything! The life-changing pink fluffy explosion – what a whirlwind! Since then, my love affair with all things pink, fluffy, and twirly has grown. Now, by day I spend my time in my little laboratory testing fabrics – how glamorous! I swear, testing fabric resilience feels like ballet with a thousand tiny pinpricks – that's my scientific and fluffy metaphor for today, darling! By night? You can find me swirling my pink skirt on the dance floor or stage, bringing a dash of sparkle and a whole lot of fun to every event.
Let me tell you about my trip to Leicester – all that glittery wonder is happening RIGHT NOW. It’s a vibrant city full of character, like me, darling! It’s the sort of city that's begging for a pink tutu – I can already see the twirling opportunities just begging me to get on with the good time. After all, a little twirl never hurt anyone, especially when your attire is pure pink magic, eh?
Speaking of twirls and good times, I’m excited to tell you about what I’ve been up to. Firstly, we have to talk about the magnificent Curve theatre, don’t you just love those architectural flourishes and curves, oh my! So elegant! This gorgeous theatre is like a giant ballet shoe – ready for the most delightful of pirouettes, literally! The curve of the theatre really lets those fabulous light shows dance, and they are so sparkly! The sound was superb, just what any aspiring pink ballerina could dream of. I saw the most wonderful show there! It was a mix of traditional ballet and modern dance, complete with a soundtrack of contemporary music that made me want to bop in my pink tutu.
I also popped into the fabulous Phoenix Arts Centre. I am so happy I took the time to check it out! They had the most incredible line-up of theatrical productions that tickled my funny bone, got me singing along, and filled me with all the inspiration I need to add a new step or two to my drag routine.
Oh, you’re right, how silly of me to forget the glorious Leicester Museum and Art Gallery. It's a gem nestled right in the heart of the city – just like me! Imagine all those fabulous historical treasures nestled within walls and then topped off with the perfect pink bow… It's like a historical masterpiece waiting for me to give it the finishing touches.
I had to pay a visit to Leicester's majestic Market Place, what a charming cobbled spectacle. Just try to picture me strutting my stuff amongst the market stalls, my tulle tutu swirling like a pink windstorm – just try it! The vibrant buzz of Leicester’s Market Place reminded me how much I love exploring hidden gems – and by hidden gems, I mean tiny independent stores selling dazzlingly sparkly trinkets. Just my kind of spot!
But what about my favorite thing to do when I'm in a new city? My love for dance led me to the charming Leicester Dance Centre – this delightful space filled with energy and inspiration – and I even saw some adorable little dancers twirling in tiny tutus! They gave me an enthusiastic look when they saw me. It was just a brief encounter, but I like to think I may have sparked some future tutus – how rewarding.
Speaking of my passion for tutus and sparkly clothes, I made it a point to check out the city’s delightful shops, I am just a shopaholic! There was something truly magical in those dressing rooms! There is nothing quite like a pink tutu shopping trip. And with my new treasures in hand, you’d better believe I hit the city's many beautiful restaurants. And did they appreciate the glorious tutu-tastic pink princess dining alongside them!
There was a sense of playful magic that made every step of my adventure in Leicester feel extra special, it truly was a joy!
