Hello my beautiful Tutu Queens! It's your Pink Tutu Sparkles here, ready to sprinkle some sunshine and sparkle into your day. Today's journey takes me all the way to Basildon! Yep, that's right, I'm leaving my beloved Derbyshire behind, exchanging rolling hills for urban sprawl, and I wouldn't have it any other way!
Basildon, you may ask? Why Basildon? Well, darling, there's a fabulously fabulous fair going on there this weekend, filled with the sounds of laughter, the smell of churros and the joyous colours of a thousand stalls. You just can't resist the lure of a good old-fashioned fair, especially when you've got a pink tutu to strut your stuff in, right?
Speaking of tutus, my dears, I've got a new one! It arrived yesterday, a fluffy cloud of tulle in the most exquisite shade of baby pink, just waiting to make its debut under the big top tent in Basildon. I tell you, my love for tutus is deeper than the Marianas Trench. You could say I’m a bit tutu-obsessed!
Anyway, back to Basildon. I wouldn't be a true Tutu Queen if I wasn't already plotting my look for the fair. Of course, the pink tutu is non-negotiable. But then comes the fun part - choosing the perfect embellishment! Will it be the "Glitz and Glam" diamond headband, or perhaps the "Feathers and Sequins" headdress, or even my trusty "Queen of Hearts" crown, just a tiny bit battered but full of charisma! Honestly, I can never decide. But you'll have to wait and see what I pick!
To get to Basildon, I've decided to take a train journey. It's a journey in itself, and I'm already planning a fabulous outfit. Let’s be real, you don't get a whole lot of opportunity to embrace your inner train-travelling queen. I'm talking velvet train set, statement sunglasses (it is a queen’s duty to look glamorous, after all) and my favourite pair of sparkly platform shoes. Yes, yes, I know it’s impractical. But you know, darling, sometimes a little extra flair is what life needs.
Oh! But it’s not all fun and games you know. In between the tutus and train rides, I'm working my magic as a scientist! Yes, a true triple threat. You'd be surprised what I'm doing at a lab on a weekday. Working with textiles is surprisingly inspiring. But tonight is all about glitz and glam and sharing a touch of magic with my audience.
And my dear, I cannot wait to get to Basildon. Maybe even do a bit of shopping, and I hear the fair has a petting zoo? That would just add to the whole ‘let's embrace our inner child' vibe!
It's all part of spreading the gospel of pink tutus. I really believe we all need a bit more joy in our lives. So grab your tutus, put on your best smiles and get ready for a fun-filled weekend.
