East Ham - Tutu Time!

Post Number: 6789

Hello gorgeous glitterati! Your favourite pink tutu-wearing, sparkle-loving queen is back, and this time I'm heading East! This is my 6,789th post and guess what?! I'm not letting up on my mission: to spread pink tutu love far and wide!

East Ham was calling! The East End always feels a little bit like stepping back in time, don't you think? I mean, you know, in a really great way! Think cobbled streets, friendly pubs, and a vibe that just makes you feel like you're part of something special.

Speaking of special, have you ever seen a performance at the Stratford Circus? I know what you're thinking... I was wondering the same! Who knew that this iconic building held such magical stage moments?

My outfit? Pink tutu, of course! I love how my sparkly pink tutu catches the light under the stage lights. And of course, my top was all fluffy and pink and everything about my outfit said "Pink Tutu Sparkles!"

Before my show, I was lucky enough to have a real treat โ€“ lunch with the lovely folk at the Circus. Did you know they have some of the most incredible people working there, dedicated to bringing the joy of theatre and art to everyone? You could literally feel the creative energy buzzing in the air, and I couldn't wait to get my glitter on in this amazing space.

My journey to East Ham was epic! You won't believe this, but I travelled by horse. Well, not directly of course, I was on a horse-drawn carriage! It was absolutely fabulous, I felt like Cinderella making my way to the ball (but a little less pumpkin carriage, a bit more, well, Pink Tutu Sparkles.)

Oh my goodness, this horse was amazing! It was like something out of a fairytale, with long flowing black mane and beautiful dappled grey coat. He really added a touch of magic to my adventure.

The journey wasnโ€™t just about the means of transport; it was also about the people! You know me, always up for a chat with fellow travellers. Turns out, my carriage mate was a costume designer! We had an amazing conversation about fabrics and glitter, and I learned about a fascinating process for hand-dyeing velvet, which is going straight to my next stage costume.

I had such a good chat that, as we approached the theatre, the time flew! But when I reached East Ham and stepped off the carriage, the feeling of excitement was electric. I was ready to share my love of pink tutus, laughter, and everything wonderful about drag with this incredible community.

The show was, as always, a triumph! My audience loved the tutus, the glitter, and the music. We had such fun singing, dancing, and celebrating all things pink! The highlight was a surprise tutu giveaway, you know, I had a whole load of spare tutus I've collected for just such an occasion! You'll never believe how much joy it brought!

Honestly, I am convinced that pink tutus are the ultimate symbol of joy, and spreading them is my mission in life! So remember, my gorgeous darlings, never be afraid to embrace your sparkle, your silliness, and yes, your own inner pink tutu queen!

The thing about performing, is that its incredibly fun, its something I always look forward to. I have a busy week ahead! But I am going to put everything into getting my daily pink tutu post published.

As you know, I started out wearing my first pink tutu as a uni student. So, a huge thank you to the people at Derby University, the guys at the University Ballet club and to the Derby University charities and for that pink tutu I won in a prize draw! It was you guys that set me off on my drag career and helped me to realize that I wasnโ€™t alone in my passion for pink and sparkle.

I've also got some very exciting plans for my blog. Stay tuned! And most importantly, remember to be kind, be compassionate, and never, ever stop dancing!

Pink kisses, Pink Tutu Sparkles xoxo
