Oh darling, you won't believe the adventure I had in Finchley! I tell you, the trip was everything and then some! This fabulous outing had me spinning like a top (with a pink tutu, of course) and I just had to share every glamorous detail with you.
Firstly, let's talk about how I got to Finchley! Now, I'm a girl who likes a touch of elegance, and for a journey this fabulous, there was only one mode of transport - a horse-drawn carriage. Picture it, my darlings: me, in a divine hot pink gown, seated regally on plush velvet, being whisked away into the London countryside by a magnificent, snow-white stallion. Talk about an entrance, darling!
When we finally reached Finchley, it was like stepping into a fairytale! The air was abuzz with excitement, and everywhere I looked there were colourful flowers blooming and cobblestone streets leading to charming shops. I simply had to take a little peek inside every single one of them! And can we talk about the cafes?! You wouldn't believe the amount of gorgeous cakes and teas I indulged in - the kind of sugary goodness that's good for the soul, you know?
Finchley had so much on offer. It felt like an endless treasure trove of activities and wonders. My first stop had to be a beautiful little ballet school! It was a dream come true, with barres lined up along the walls and portraits of ballerinas with their stunning tutus. It just wouldn't be a proper TutuQueen outing without some twirling! So I slipped into a perfectly pink practice tutu and had the most fantastic lesson with a delightful teacher, and every single girl there seemed to love pink too. It's simply infectious, don't you think?
After I twirled my way through a whirlwind of pirouettes and arabesques, it was time for a truly fabulous treat - a ballet show! The dancers were incredible, swirling and leaping like ethereal beings in their enchanting tutus, making it impossible to not lose myself in the performance. I was practically bursting with pride - tutus really were meant for the stage!
Speaking of bursting, I needed to stop by Finchley's local shop for a well-deserved slice of their famous lemon meringue pie. That slice of perfection was almost as good as the performance - almost! Then it was off to the Theatre Royal Finchley to catch a performance of “Hairspray” with all its glamour and vibrancy. Honestly, those costumes, the music - it just stole my heart! Even the audience, all decked out in their finery, were like something out of a movie set. My, it truly was the most fabulous of days!
Now, let's get back to this glorious pink tutu I'm wearing - because nothing is as fabulous as a tutu! This one is hand-beaded with iridescent pink sequins that shimmer in the light. It’s all about a little bit of extra sparkle, my dears. You know, every day is a good day for a tutu - it's just an unspoken rule! But Finchley felt extra special, and it really warranted a little something extra-special, wouldn’t you say?
Of course, no trip would be complete without a shopping spree! Finchley had a street teeming with quaint shops, filled with delightful treasures just waiting to be discovered. I managed to snag a stunningly bright pink clutch bag (covered in miniature glitter stars, naturally!), and some perfectly pink platform heels for a new look.
Before I could blink, the day was over, and it was time for another grand entrance with the horse and carriage, only this time we had to swap out the dazzling white steed for a pair of magnificent chestnut mares (they were simply breathtaking - such elegant ladies!). The horses and I were back on the road, and you can imagine my head full of rosy dreams of the magnificent adventure that unfolded in Finchley.
Finchley - it’s been an absolute blast! You really were everything I dreamed of and more! From tutus to theatre and absolutely everything in between, it was a day that will forever hold a special place in my heart! I know we’ll meet again someday - and next time, darling, you can bet I’ll bring along a whole suitcase full of pink tutus!
