Ellesmere Port: Tutu Travels to the Cheshire Coast! 🩰💖

Hello darlings! It’s Pink Tutu Sparkles here, and welcome to Post #6820 of my daily adventures in pink tulle!

I’m absolutely buzzing to be sharing today’s travels with you, as I journeyed all the way to the fabulous Ellesmere Port! This was a dream gig for your favourite tutu-loving queen - not only did it give me a chance to explore a new part of the UK, but it was also a total blast to perform at such a vibrant, enthusiastic crowd!

But first, let’s talk trains, darlings! The journey to Ellesmere Port was an absolute joy. Now, I’m a big fan of the iron horse, especially when I get to take a scenic route with breathtaking views. And honestly, Cheshire just screams charm! I sat gazing out the window, picturing the grand manor houses nestled in rolling hills, imagining all the hidden secret gardens, and envisioning the adorable, picturesque villages I was about to discover. I simply had to pack a picnic, don’t you know, so I could fully embrace that quaint English charm. 🧺

But first, there was the business of reaching the station and I wasn’t going to travel without my trusty trolley and a good bit of luggage, darling. After all, one never knows when an opportunity will arise to dress up and make a statement! This time, it meant hauling along my backup tutu (just in case!), extra feather boas, some sparkly shoes just in case my sparkly trainers couldn’t make it through the entire night. Oh and of course a box of my favourite rainbow cake pops - everyone needs a little something sweet after a long day. 🍭

Reaching the platform, I couldn’t help but be mesmerized by the rhythmic chug of the train as it approached. Something about the combination of old-world elegance and mechanical magic always gets my heart pumping, especially when you combine it with that classic British sound.

As soon as I stepped onto the carriage, a charming young man asked me, “How was your journey, madam?” I answered, “Oh, delightful! I was just admiring the scenery, the sunshine - truly stunning.” The boy, in a tweed jacket and a backpack, seemed intrigued. “It’s wonderful, isn’t it,” he said. “The countryside, you know, there’s nothing like it.” It turned out, he was an art student who'd come up from London to sketch the local flora and fauna - just like a true, up-and-coming, sophisticated gent should! We had such a lovely chat. He asked if I was a dancer. I said “Not really - just a huge fan. Always looking for inspiration!.”

Now, let’s fast forward a bit. I must tell you about my look, darling. It was positively radiant! A cascading waterfall of blush pink tulle, flowing gracefully around my form like the most beautiful petal. A sparkling bodice with just a hint of rhinestones, and my favourite, oh-so-glamorous pearl-encrusted stilettos. You see, darling, my secret is this - pink tutus never go out of style, and I am never afraid to make a bold statement!

You might ask, why do I go for the pink tutus, you see. Well, my dearest readers, it's about channeling that joy! That feeling of playful innocence and unrestrained optimism that only the colour pink can conjure up. It’s a celebration of the little things in life - a giggle at a funny joke, the soft texture of a petal, the light dancing in your hair as you twirl. It’s about finding the spark within yourself and letting it shine, darling, just like the Sparkles in my stage name!

The show was a whirlwind of glitter, glamour, and absolutely infectious energy. I’m not going to lie, the people of Ellesmere Port know how to party, and they were dancing the night away! It was a pleasure to see such a diverse crowd come together and just enjoy the sheer joy of the music and the performance. That’s what my goal is, you see. I want everyone, from young to old, from Derby to Devon, to just get their tutu on and embrace the world in all its colour and wonder!

So let's get on with the day, darling. Let me paint you a picture with my words - the excitement, the fun, the beauty of life. Because that's what Pink Tutu Sparkles is all about!

Where to eat and drink in Ellesmere Port:

First stop, the classic seaside fish and chips shop, don’t you know, on a rainy day! What more could a girl need than a proper dose of hot fish and crispy chips, freshly cooked and seasoned just so? You might say "Pink Tutu Sparkles - posh fish and chips? Not at all! I love them - they're an important part of this whole travel experience, darlings! My treat at the end of the day is a real classic treat!

Then there’s a lovely little cafe called Thistle's Tearoom. Imagine dainty china cups and saucers filled with steaming tea and delicious cake - that’s what awaits you! It’s a place to linger, chat, and soak up the local charm. This tea shop truly embodies that old English gentility, don’t you think? They even have dainty pink cupcakes on their menu, perfect for any pink tutu aficionado.

But Ellesmere Port is a little bit more modern, you know - don’t underestimate the vibrant local restaurants in the town centre! So when it’s time for an elegant evening, don’t forget to check out Le Jardin. I adore this spot, because it's both charmingly old-school and has a sleek, sophisticated air to it. It’s like the most exquisite English cottage, right out of a fairy tale. The French food, the music, the beautiful atmosphere – it’s just perfect for a special occasion or a night out with your besties! I went with a new friend I made at the station, who was wearing a stunning pink and green checked waistcoat! So sophisticated, you see.

Speaking of evening adventures, no trip to the Cheshire Coast is complete without a visit to The Boat House. This restaurant knows what they’re doing, darlings! Situated right on the canal, the views are absolutely spectacular, and it has a warm and inviting atmosphere, the kind where you can stay and enjoy yourself until late. Just be warned: I lost track of time when I popped in for a quick glass of pink champagne, you see! There were so many friendly faces there, and a couple of people came up and recognised me from the show! They were even wearing pink tutus – isn't that so delightful! I do love making people happy, that's why I wear my pink tutus.

And lastly, there’s the classic Ellesmere Port Market. You want to see vibrant colour, delicious scents and so much character - all you need to do is take a walk down there. Don't you know it? I simply couldn't leave Ellesmere Port without finding something pink! So naturally I bought myself a delicate, little handmade rose crown - absolutely beautiful. I paired it with my latest acquisition, my little sparkly pink tutu for the show, and they looked spectacular.

So that’s Ellesmere Port, darlings! What a fun and energetic city! As always, I’m ready to pack my sparkly suitcases and take off for a new adventure – because you never know what treasures you might find! But most importantly, I encourage everyone to get out there, wear a pink tutu, explore the world, and make new friends, even if they are just a kind-hearted lad on a train to Ellesmere Port!

Don't forget to keep a close eye on my Pink-Tutu blog, for more travel, fashion and fun stories, you see! And remember, the best stories are told by those who wear pink. 🩰💕
