Let me tell you, the journey was an absolute dream! I always try to embrace the scenic route, you know, ditch the boring motorways and travel by train when I can. It's just so romantic, isn't it? And thereβs something about those rolling countryside views that sparks inspiration for my drag outfits, too! β¨
Bangor is such a charming town, tucked away by the beautiful Menai Strait. As soon as I arrived, the first thing that struck me was the vibrant atmosphere. This town just exudes that kind of artistic energy. Imagine it: cobbled streets, quaint shops overflowing with goodies, and little cafΓ©s buzzing with life. My kind of place! βοΈ
Now, you know I'm all about my ballet, right? And this trip was a ballet lover's paradise! First up, I got to catch a performance at the historic Bangor Cathedral - breathtaking! The acoustics were phenomenal, the costumes exquisite, and the whole experience just had that magic only live theatre can deliver. πβ¨
But the highlight had to be my impromptu ballet class! It was tucked away in a sweet little studio right on the high street. I mean, let's be honest, who can resist a spontaneous twirl? π The teacher, Mrs. Davies, was a true gem β incredibly warm and welcoming. She even offered me a custom pink tutu from her own collection! Needless to say, I left feeling utterly invigorated. β¨
No trip to Bangor would be complete without a little souvenir shopping, and let me tell you, the vintage stores there are divine! I managed to snag a beautiful antique pink silk shawl β just perfect for layering over my tutus, you see? β¨
In the evening, I strutted my stuff at the town's annual street party. They were hosting a "Fairytale Fantasy" theme and let's just say I fitted right in! My tutu twirled in the night breeze, the lights of the town reflected off my glitter, and the crowd loved it! π
Bangor really stole a piece of my heart! It's so full of warmth and artistic charm, and I canβt wait to return someday. Who knows, maybe I'll even be bringing my next "Pink Tutu Project" to life there! π
