Today, we’re taking the train, naturally, to the delightful town of Bebington. I simply adore getting lost in the charm of small towns, with their quaint shops, friendly locals, and charming back alleys that promise adventure. (Who knows what dazzling bargains we might find on vintage brooches tucked away in an antique store?)
As a self-proclaimed ambassador for pink tutus, it’s only natural that I’m here to spread the joy! This weekend, I’m taking part in a street performance at the Bebington Art Fair, and let me tell you, you don’t want to miss this. I'm not just going to be dazzling everyone with my unique blend of dance, drag, and bubbly personality (as I always do, darling!), I'm planning a little impromptu flash mob. Imagine this: dozens of tutus, all in shades of pink, shimmering in the afternoon sun, swirling and twirling in perfect unison, set to a playful, upbeat soundtrack! (Now, just picture me in the middle, strutting my stuff, a fabulous pink queen amidst a sea of tulle, the epitome of fabulousness!)
This isn’t just a show, my lovelies. It’s a statement, a celebration of all things fun and frilly, a bold testament to embracing joy in every form. The world can be a bit grim sometimes, don’t you think? But pink tutus, well, they remind us of the pure joy of dressing up, of playful freedom, of expressing ourselves without limitations. My goal, my dearest readers, is nothing short of global domination… with tutus, of course. (It's far more glamorous than you'd imagine, darling!)

This quaint, historical town is rich in history, overflowing with charming cobblestone streets, ivy-covered pubs, and a delightful little Victorian theatre, which, you guessed it, I’m planning to visit! I just can’t resist a good dose of the dramatic arts, especially when it involves a stage bathed in rosy-pink hues. After all, there’s nothing more thrilling than watching skilled actors bring life to the characters, transporting us into worlds of adventure and magic. (Oh, the delicious irony! This drag queen, so comfortable on stage, always feeling transported by a story beautifully told!)
And of course, no adventure to Bebington is complete without a spot of shopping. I've been informed by my resident Bebington-based Tutu-Connoisseur (let's call her "Tilly" for now, as she prefers anonymity when it comes to her love of all things fluffy) that the town holds hidden treasures in the realm of frilly finery. Now, we both know, my lovelies, that my love for a good pink tulle extravaganza is only rivaled by my passion for all things sparkly and sequin-adorned. So, imagine my glee when I discover a little independent boutique bursting with fabric treasures and shimmering sequins. Why, darling, you can bet your bottom dollar I'll be finding some fabulous new additions to my repertoire, sure to make heads turn and hearts skip a beat.
Now, let’s talk about the journey itself. I, for one, adore travelling by train, especially through the picturesque countryside of my beloved Derbyshire. Every clickety-clack of the rails whispers of adventures waiting to unfold. The lush green fields, quaint little stations with their cheerful colours, and the chance to people-watch - a true treat for this flamboyant soul. Sometimes, you know, I feel as if the train itself is my personal runway, with its windows serving as my ever-changing backdrop, reflecting a constantly shifting panorama of colour, light, and wonder. But this journey also holds a unique charm, the journey by train to Bebington offers its own special blend of scenic beauty, charming station stops and a comforting familiarity. The journey, like the tutu, allows us to revel in the everyday, to find magic in the seemingly ordinary. (Just as long as there's a tea trolley on board, naturally!)
