Hello my darlings! 💖 It's your girl, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here with a brand spanking new blog post all about my latest escapade! This is post number 6870 (yes, I know, I’m a bit obsessed!) and this time, I’m whisking you away to the charming town of Fleet! Now, Fleet might not sound like the most glamorous of destinations, but let me tell you, it truly charmed the tutu out of me!
As you all know, my passion for tutus runs deeper than the English Channel. It started way back when I was just a fresh-faced student, studying science no less! I was in the university ballet club and we were holding a charity event, where people could dress up in tutus for a donation. I remember trying on this gloriously pink number, and the world shifted. I just knew, I had to get my hands on every pink tutu ever made!
Since then, I’ve dedicated my life to spreading the love of tutus, and as any true tutu aficionado knows, this mission involves exploring every nook and cranny of the globe.
I actually chose Fleet as my latest destination purely by chance, which, if you know me, you’ll know is a favourite way to travel. I love just throwing a dart at a map! My trusty steed this time wasn’t my trusty stallion – I haven't ridden a horse since the whole manure incident – but a sleek, red train. A rather glamorous departure for a Tutu Queen, if I do say so myself!
And Fleet certainly did not disappoint! It was like stepping back in time, but with a modern, whimsical touch. Imagine cobblestone streets lined with charming shops, a babbling brook whispering secrets, and a magnificent park bursting with vibrant blooms. This place was straight out of a fairytale!
Speaking of whimsy, my darling friends, you just wouldn't believe what I saw in Fleet! It was the most dazzling collection of antique tutus you could ever imagine! They were all hanging in a shop window, sparkling in the sunshine. Honestly, I felt like a child in a candy store – the colours, the styles, the sparkle! I just knew I had to bring them all home!
After a much-needed shopping spree – my bank manager probably isn't thrilled with me this month, but what can you do when you spot a glorious vintage lilac tutu?! – I felt a bit peckish. So, what did this Queen do? Why, head straight to the most delightful cafe you can imagine! They had the most delectable pink cupcakes you’ve ever seen – and I’m not just talking about food colouring, they were actual pink rose cupcakes, they even had a tiny pink tutu on top!
Now, you've probably noticed a recurring theme here – my deep affection for the colour pink. I can't deny it, pink is simply divine. It's playful, yet sophisticated. It's bold yet delicate. And to top it off, it’s absolutely fabulously fantastic on a Tutu Queen! 😉
As the sun started to set, casting a golden glow over the quaint town, I found myself feeling incredibly grateful. Gratitude for this amazing adventure, for my darling followers who constantly inspire me, and, of course, for the magic of pink tutus. They say “Pink is the colour of kindness” and in Fleet, my darling friends, I certainly felt a whole lot of kindness.
