Helloooo my darling dears! It's your favourite pink-loving, tutu-wearing, sparkly queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, back with another adventure in fabulousness! Today's post is all about my latest journey - a whirlwind trip to Bridgwater, a town with more than just a bit of a history!
This time, my Tutu Travels took me on a magical adventure by… drumroll … TRAIN! Yes, darling, a sleek, comfortable, and most importantly, PINK train ride to the heart of Somerset. You see, my love for all things pink extends to my travel style, and what’s more pink than a fabulous pink carriage (okay, maybe not really, but one can dream, right?).
Now, I'm not usually a big fan of trains – a horse-drawn carriage is truly the way to travel, but I have to say, this journey was a dream! Not only did I get to admire the stunning countryside whizzing past, but I was also surrounded by a whole rainbow of beautiful people. One delightful couple even complimented me on my dazzling pink tutu! I think it was the cherry blossom print on the fabric, so fitting for the fall season.
Reaching Bridgwater, a historic market town steeped in ancient traditions, felt like entering a page from a storybook. The cobbled streets, quaint shops, and charming architecture oozed old-world charm – a perfect backdrop for my colourful and playful aesthetic.
This trip was extra special because I had a show booked at a local theatre – it's my job after all! And trust me, darling, I didn’t disappoint! I performed my signature dance routine – you know, the one where I twirl and sparkle in my pinkest, fluffiest tutu – leaving the audience roaring with delight!
Speaking of my pink tutus, dear readers, they truly hold a special place in my heart! Remember, this whole pink tutu thing started as a whim while I was studying for my science degree. I was part of the university's ballet club, and we had a charity fundraiser – and that's when I tried on my first tutu!
Well, darling, I instantly knew, pink and tutus were a magical combo! And you know, wearing a pink tutu isn't just about the style; it’s about feeling empowered, bold, and unapologetically YOU! It's a reminder that anyone can embrace their individuality and wear a tutu, even if they aren't a professional ballet dancer! I mean, darling, have you seen those fabulous tutu-clad dancers at my shows? They're not professionals but are the biggest stars of all!
Bridgwater was brimming with pink opportunities. The market square had an abundance of flowers in every shade, and even the local bakery had a delicious selection of pink cupcakes. Every time I walk into a store and there’s a big selection of bright pinks I want to burst with joy. I may have bought more than a few souvenirs, including a tiny pink ballerina figurine and a stunning scarf adorned with tiny ballet shoes (gotta match those ballet shoes!). I’ll be wearing those every time I step out in my pink tutus.
In fact, my love for pink has seeped into everything I do. I mean, you’ll often find me rocking my pink lab coat at work (my scientist alter-ego has to have her dose of pink too!).
This whole Tutu Travel blog journey began as a silly little project – something I did for fun. I always felt happiest dancing in a sparkly pink tutu – I was still in the throes of coming to terms with my identity, the feeling of embracing myself for who I am, a glamorous queen, and finding a home for that fabulous self, even though the outside world was uncertain, but as a young girl and even now, I found safety in that pink tutu. I wanted to share that joy with others, and this blog became a way of sharing that passion, creating a space where we could all celebrate life, colour, and most importantly, tutus!
But darling, I know, some of you out there might be thinking, "Why tutus? Why pink?"
It’s simple: life's too short to be anything but colourful and bold! Embrace your own personal sparkle! That's my message! I believe everyone should wear pink, everyone should wear a tutu, and most importantly, everyone should dance their hearts out!
So, thank you, Bridgwater, for being such a spectacular backdrop to another dazzling chapter in my Tutu Travels. Now, I’m off to explore new horizons, find new pink delights, and inspire more and more people to embrace their inner sparkle!
