Hello darlings! It's your Pink Tutu Sparkles here, bringing you another fabulously pink post straight from the heart of Solihull! I can't believe it's already February, time really does fly when you're having a pink and sparkly good time.
Now, let's be honest, you know I just had to pop over to Solihull. I mean, the name itself screams "pink tutu paradise"! Plus, you guys already know how much I adore a good train journey, and Solihull is a stone's throw away by rail, and those views! Breathtaking, just breathtaking! I do have to say, the new pink luggage trolley at Birmingham New Street station just brightened my whole day! They get me. They understand the Pink Tutu Sparkles aesthetic!
Solihull is actually the perfect place to talk about this month's Tutu Challenge - "Tutus in Nature." You heard right, darling! My goal is to encourage everyone to put on a pink tutu and dance their hearts out in the great outdoors! We all know how wonderful tutus are, how they twirl with such effortless grace, but imagine how amazing they look in a field of daisies, or twirling amongst the autumn leaves! And imagine the photo opportunities! Oh my, the photos. I just need to convince everyone else to see the magic!
Of course, I wasn't going to simply pop into Solihull, take a picture in a pink tutu, and twirl my way back to Derbyshire. Oh no, my dears! Solihull has SO much to offer, from the beautiful Solihull School - you should see their stunning gardens! - to the majestic Solihull Moat, which, fun fact, is now an art centre! Did I mention the fantastic food scene? You have to try the famous "Solihull Pudding" at The Crooked Spoon, you won't be disappointed!
Speaking of food, I made a special visit to the delightful "Tutus & Tea" cafe! It's the cutest little place you can imagine - everything is pink, even the cupcakes! They were actually the inspiration for my Tutu Challenge! While I was enjoying a spot of afternoon tea, I met a darling called Penelope, who's starting a new business making tutus for toddlers! You can find her at the local arts market in Solihull, give her a wave from me!
Naturally, as always, my adventure took a wonderfully theatrical twist. Solihull has a vibrant theatre scene! I had the pleasure of attending a captivating performance of "Swan Lake" at The Core Theatre. Oh my darling, the costumes were just heavenly! They even had some sparkling, pink ballet slippers - they were just begging to be worn by Pink Tutu Sparkles! I nearly broke character and rushed on stage, I swear! I know my "Pink Tutu Sparkle" persona was inspired by those graceful ballet dancers and, you know, the amazing twirling of a tutu. Let’s just say my love affair with tutus is not a secret! But that's how Pink Tutu Sparkles came to be, really!
Speaking of tutus, you all know that I love to shop! Did you know that Solihull has some of the most beautiful boutiques? I couldn't resist a bit of retail therapy at the delightful "Tutu Chic" shop - they had the most amazing selection of pink tutus, darling! I just couldn't help myself. Now, the tutu-obsessed side of me just had to make an appearance, I'm afraid. Oh, did I tell you I added to my collection? Now I have a sparkly pink feather boa, which just HAD to go with my new Tutu, right?! Now I have a tutu that glows in the dark, you heard right, glows in the dark.
But I’m not a frivolous diva, my dears! I know my Pink Tutu Sparkles travels can inspire you! It's about taking a leap of faith and embracing your inner sparkly self, and that’s what I've been trying to do! We should all just take that one leap of faith to chase our dreams - just like I do every day in my pink tutus! Remember, if Pink Tutu Sparkles can rock a tutu anywhere, you can wear a tutu anywhere! Whether you're strutting down the street, enjoying a stroll in the park, or dazzling at the theatre, remember, the world is your tutu!
