And wouldn't you know it, the Maidstone train station gave me the perfect opportunity for a photo shoot. Picture this: Pink Tutu Sparkles, bathed in the golden afternoon sun, twirling like a ballerina on a platform filled with perplexed commuters! 😂 It was absolute chaos, darling, but in the most glorious way possible.

Speaking of journeys, you might be curious about the real person behind the glittering persona – the Alex! 😊 My days as a scientist in a lab testing fabric may seem a world away from Pink Tutu Sparkles, but trust me, they're connected in ways you might not expect! 😉
You see, being a scientist requires precision, attention to detail, and a good deal of creativity. That same attention to detail is what goes into every Pink Tutu Sparkles performance. 💎 I like to think that both worlds allow me to unleash my inner sparkle!
But the real magic began with a trip back home to Derbyshire – where the hills are green, the pubs are charming, and the accent is absolutely delightful! 😄 That’s where my heart still belongs. You see, home is more than just a place, it’s a feeling, a sense of belonging. And, I have to admit, Derbyshire has a special place in my heart – I mean, just picture me, Pink Tutu Sparkles, doing a grand entrance in a bustling village square, making the locals smile! 😅 It’s absolutely adorable, I can't help but think it'd be magical!
Now, let's travel back to the moment I decided to give drag a go – that first time trying on a pink tutu for charity! It was pure coincidence, really, I was simply in a mood to try something new! I found myself at a charity event where they were offering to dress up people in fancy dress! Well, they just happened to have this stunning pink tutu, the one with sequins, that would make a grown man swoon, haha. 🤪 And, let me tell you, when I wore it, it was a truly magical moment. 💖
It made me feel alive, fearless, and ready to embrace all that life has to offer. 💖 In fact, it changed me, truly changed my world. And in that moment, I knew exactly what my next adventure was!
Of course, like any queen, it wasn't always smooth sailing. There were nights when I was tired from a long day at the lab, moments of self-doubt, and yes, a few awkward performances along the way. 😅
But I learned to overcome every obstacle with grace, confidence, and a good deal of pink glitter! 😉 And now, looking back on the past few years, I'm absolutely blown away by how much I’ve accomplished, from my first local gigs to performing in dazzling venues like the Theatre Royal in Nottingham (another travel blog story coming soon!). 🎉
