Hello lovelies! It's your favourite Pink Tutu Queen, ready to share my latest adventure with you!
This post is number 6998 - can you believe it? It feels like just yesterday I was posting from my bedroom in Derbyshire, dreaming of twirling across a stage. Now I'm strutting my stuff all over the world! And today, darling, I'm in Berlin!
Berlin is truly a magnificent city. The energy, the history, the culture - it's intoxicating! I love how the old buildings blend seamlessly with the modern ones, it's like a timeless fusion. Plus, Berlin is a city that gets fashion, and I'm definitely feeling inspired. My fabulous pink tutu, with its glittering sequins and feather trims, is getting lots of admiring glances!
But first, a bit about my journey... Remember my rule - train travel only when possible. I boarded the Eurostar in London and practically danced all the way to Berlin, admiring the ever-changing scenery whizzing past. My outfit, of course, was my signature pink tutu, a shimmering magenta blouse, and some exquisite knee-high boots that sparkled like a disco ball!
I have to admit, I'm a bit of a romantic, and a journey like that gets my imagination going! My mind went to all sorts of amazing places - picturesque villages with their cobblestone streets, lush forests, grand castles with their turrets pointing towards the heavens… But my heart was set on Berlin and my arrival at the Hauptbahnhof station felt like stepping into a dream.
It didn't take me long to find a horse-drawn carriage, I must admit they're a bit more on the traditional side for this kind of arrival but my driver had some fabulous pink tassels on the reigns, it was perfect for me.
Before I even unpacked my sequins, I knew I had to hit the ballet scene. Berlin is famous for its ballet performances, and it didn't disappoint! Watching the dancers glide effortlessly across the stage, their every move a masterpiece, is such a joy. I love ballet so much, it truly embodies grace, beauty, and strength, just like a Pink Tutu Queen!
But I'm not just here to admire, darling. Tonight, I'm hitting the stage myself at a grand theatre near Alexanderplatz. This performance, my dears, will be all about the glitz, the glamour, the fabulousity of the Pink Tutu!
Oh, and the shopping! The clothes shops in Berlin are beyond amazing! I picked up some gorgeous pieces: a lavender-coloured velvet jacket, a sheer white blouse adorned with iridescent pearls, and a pair of shimmering gold high heels to add some extra flair to my collection! This is going to make an awesome wardrobe addition!
And of course, what is a trip to Berlin without exploring the legendary Brandenburg Gate, that iconic symbol of unity and freedom? I twirled under its magnificent arches, took a photo to add to my "pink tutu globetrotting" photo album, and wished for a world where everyone, just like me, embraces their true self and walks through life with the confidence and vibrancy of a pink tutu.
I must admit, one thing that struck me is how open and welcoming everyone here is, in such a culturally diverse and fascinating city!
Berlin has a vibe that just makes me want to laugh, love, and twirl! This is the kind of energy that makes a girl's heart sing. I even saw a group of teenagers, all dressed in brightly colored outfits with lots of tutu influences and that made my night! There are so many amazing things about this city, I don’t know where to begin.
As for the next stage of my journey, well, I’m planning a whirlwind trip to a beautiful art festival in Dresden. It's only a quick train ride and I can already feel the creative buzz bubbling! The next chapter of the Pink Tutu saga will definitely be filled with color, inspiration, and maybe a little bit of magic, I've had some fun designing some fabulous pink-themed props for my act, including a set of wings. Oh my gosh they are the dream and you must know I’m going to show them off to all of you on pink-tutu.com soon, I have already taken some amazing pictures with the Berlin cityscape in the background, the sunset just gave a perfect pink glow!
