Hello my darling little sparkle-bots! It's your girl, Pink Tutu Sparkles, coming to you live from the seaside resort of Blackpool! I've had a whirlwind of a time in this glamorous town, a real treat for the eyes and the soul! Let me tell you, it's been an adventure so magnificent, even the pigeons on the promenade are sporting sequins and feather boas!
This trip was all about spreading the pink tutu love to the Blackpool community. I absolutely adore hitting the smaller towns, seeing their faces light up as I sashay onto the stage. There's something so special about the joy of shared excitement and community in these places. Even if the audiences aren't used to seeing a queen with a pink tutu, they always get into the spirit, cheering with all their hearts!
A Journey of Sparkle
I opted for the train journey to Blackpool, nothing beats the romance of the carriages. With my suitcase full of sequins, feathers and the biggest, fluffiest pink tutu ever, it felt like stepping into a musical scene! Every station felt like a performance space, with me serving major drama with every wave, giggle, and hair flick.
Now, Blackpool is renowned for its attractions. We have the legendary Tower Ballroom with its fabulous dancing shows, a magnificent place to showcase your moves! I can’t resist showing off my fancy footwork and dazzling in a few spins. It’s such an honor to step onto that stage. And you can always find me doing ballet in the heart of the Tower, or maybe taking a stroll in the Illuminations, all glammed up in my best glitter.
Fashion Fun at the Seaside
For those who know me, my passion is pink tutus. The shops in Blackpool had all the bright, shiny things to fulfil my glitter-heart! There’s nothing like a new costume to brighten my day. This time, I went for a pink sequined bomber jacket paired with a shimmering skirt. Let me tell you, I sparkled so brightly that people could spot me a mile away!
Blackpool is truly a feast for the eyes. It’s full of retro glam, with those amazing vintage buildings and those classic amusement park rides. I even spent a happy afternoon with a cheeky carousel horse, just because. You gotta love a ride that's a total glam affair!
Sparkling Performances
Of course, no visit to Blackpool is complete without performing! I did two shows this time - one at a local theater and another at a fantastic little bar on the beach! Both audiences were utterly phenomenal, they went wild! It feels so good to put on my best glitzy face, and watch them lose themselves in the music, I really think the magic of drag is contagious! I don't want to spoil too much, but my final routine featured a magnificent feather fan dance in my best pink tulle masterpiece!
Spread the Sparkle
As always, I try to bring a bit of Pink Tutu Sparkles to every person I meet. My motto? "Every day is a chance to spread glitter, happiness, and a little pink tutu magic!"
While I love sharing my passion with the world, I know it's not always easy. I'm lucky that my career allows me to travel, but I encourage everyone, whether it’s in your city, town, or just at home, to express yourselves through your own unique spark. That could be a vibrant piece of clothing, a funny dance move, or maybe a pink tutu, who knows!
