Did I mention I’m a huge fan of trains? (Unless they’re packed with commuters in the morning rush – yikes!) Anyway, the excitement of performing at such a charming venue, all those sparkling eyes in the audience waiting to see their favourite tutu-clad diva… oh, the thrill! 🤩

My passion for pink tutus began quite unexpectedly. It wasn’t all about dazzling lights and fabulous costumes. It started with a science degree, believe it or not! Remember that time you did charity work at university? Well, imagine a rather timid science student, that’s me, put into a tutu for a good cause. A pink tutu! Since those early days at uni, Pink Tutu Sparkles has had countless adventures, each more sparkling than the last! Travelling around the country, spreading love and glitter – the ultimate dream! From London's West End to quaint village halls, even charming markets and festivals, I’ve brought my pink sparkle everywhere. By day, I'm a humble scientist, carefully testing fabrics in the lab (no, I’m not always wearing my pink tutu in the lab… it might be a bit disruptive, wouldn’t you agree?). But by night? Well, it’s showtime, darlings! I strut my stuff in the spotlight, delivering a fabulous performance that leaves everyone wanting more! 😉
So, this visit to High Wycombe has been no exception. It’s just been such a joyful journey so far. The moment I stepped out of the station and onto the bustling high street, the sheer vibrancy of the town filled me with excitement! From charming shops brimming with independent finds to the beautifully preserved Victorian architecture, the charm and character of High Wycombe is evident at every corner. Speaking of shops, my journey couldn’t be complete without a spot of retail therapy! Finding the perfect outfit is a vital part of being Pink Tutu Sparkles! Just ask my fabulous wardrobe… she’s overflowing with fabulous fashion finds, each one shimmering brighter than the last. 😜
And, of course, I simply had to make time to indulge in the joy of ballet, didn't I? After all, Pink Tutu Sparkles was born on a ballet stage, remember? The beauty of movement, the elegance of graceful poses… It's simply magic! So, naturally, I had to pay a visit to Wycombe Swan Theatre! I may be a little late for ballet class these days (you know, glamorous commitments… the life of a queen can be tough!), but the chance to experience a truly incredible ballet performance – just what my soul needed! 🩰 The talent on stage was extraordinary, leaving me feeling utterly mesmerised. You should have seen me - even I had a bit of a tutu twirl, even if I couldn’t help being a little too excited. (Oops! My bad!) 😬
Now, what’s the best way to enjoy a delicious lunch after an unforgettable performance? Well, a classic British afternoon tea is, in my humble opinion, the perfect way to soak up the atmosphere and recharge the batteries. There’s something delightfully comforting about that tradition - scones with clotted cream, dainty finger sandwiches, a selection of tasty cakes, and of course, a cup of perfectly brewed tea (with an extra generous dash of sugar for Pink Tutu Sparkles!). I tell you, the aroma alone filled the air with a certain sweet serenity. It truly felt like a journey back in time, experiencing the true charm and elegance of English afternoon tea in all its glory! 🫖
