It’s Pink Tutu Sparkles here, your favourite (and probably only) pink tutu-wearing drag queen, bringing you a dazzling new blog post straight from the heart of Worcester! ✨ This fabulous city has been calling my name for months, and I’m so thrilled to finally be here, spreading the gospel of pink tutus and good times! 💖
This trip is extra special for me as I’m combining my love of the stage with my equally fierce love of…trains! 🚂 Yes, my fabulous followers, I opted for a glamorous train journey down to Worcester, enjoying the sights (and the views of those stunning English countryside fields). My outfit? You guessed it - my best pink tutu, of course! A classic, billowing tulle number in a shade of pink that’s just as vibrant as my personality. You’d be surprised at the amount of heads that turned! 😉
Now, Worcester is renowned for its vibrant theatre scene, and I couldn’t resist checking out the fantastic “The Globe” theatre. It was pure magic, filled with history and captivating stories, perfect for igniting the imagination. After that, I went straight to a ballet class in my very own pink tutu, just because! It's not every day that you get to practice pirouettes with a dazzling view of a quaint city centre! 💖
I even bumped into a lovely local dance academy, and I had the most amazing time! We discussed all things ballet (tut-tastic, naturally!), and they’ve kindly agreed to have me in for a fun little drag class, showcasing the beautiful, graceful side of the art of drag! Get ready for a fabulous tutorial on how to twirl with style, Worcester! 🤩
Speaking of style, I also made sure to indulge in some delicious retail therapy! Worcester is a real gem when it comes to boutiques and independent shops, and my heart couldn't resist picking up a few delightful items that will definitely make a splash on the stage - or the high street, come to think of it! I can’t wait to show you my new pink accessories on my next drag night. You just know they'll make a statement! 😉

About Your Pink Tutu QueenNow, my darling darlings, you know Pink Tutu Sparkles has an absolutely fabulous backstory. You know I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for the day I first slipped on a pink tutu… It happened when I was a little scientist studying at the University of Derby, in Derbyshire. We were holding a charity event to raise funds for a worthy cause and they had a bunch of colorful tutus on hand, ready for us to make complete fools of ourselves! I always loved the ballet (and I always adored pink), so, well, you can probably guess what happened next! 💖✨ My heart just about exploded. From that very moment on, my love affair with the pink tutu began.
My family probably never saw it coming. I’m from the quiet, sleepy corner of Derbyshire (hello Peak District!). We were a family of modest, everyday folks. And they never imagined one of their own would be out on the world’s stages in a pink tutu, shaking it for all it’s worth! 😅 They weren’t necessarily on board with my little love of drag in the beginning, but my parents have been some of my biggest fans and have been incredible in helping me grow and make my dreams come true.
But as they say, if you can’t dream it, you can’t achieve it! And if anyone knew me, they knew I could see the sparkle of pink tutus on the world, and my heart just yearned to make that happen! So that’s why I took a deep breath and decided to embrace the full pink tutu experience - because why not?! It’s fun, it’s empowering, and it reminds everyone to let their inner sparkles shine through!
By day, I put on my science hat and I’m your resident expert on fabrics. I analyze fabrics and their characteristics – what they’re made of, their tensile strength, and so much more. So if you need to know about the science behind your favourite sparkly outfits, you know where to find me! 😉
But as the sun starts to set and the moon is shining its lovely glow on us, I trade my lab coat for sequins and glittery tights. And then it’s showtime for this pink tutu queen. My trusty pink tutu helps me dance across the stages of life!
