Hello darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, and it’s time for a fashion-tastic journey to… Stevenage! I know what you’re thinking – “Stevenage? What’s there to see? That place?”. Oh honey, don't you know? Stevenage has hidden treasures!
It’s been a while since I graced your screens with my latest adventures. It seems like forever ago, my last post was from Edinburgh and since then, I've had my head stuck in the laboratory by day and on a tour bus by night, perfecting my routines and prepping for some spectacularly shimmery shows! I even found some time to pop to London to catch the Swan Lake revival – absolute perfection!
So what about this trip to Stevenage? I was invited by the wonderful folk at the Stevenage Arts Theatre. It's a gem in the heart of the town – tucked away like a secret, waiting to be discovered.
Getting there
As you all know, the glamorous Pink Tutu Sparkles doesn’t just take any old mode of transport. Now, I adore a good train journey - the swaying of the carriage, the clackety-clack of the tracks, it's practically born for me! Plus, I always bring a full-length mirror along for touch-ups in the aisle. (Never hurts to let the train travellers admire a bit of my Pink Tutu style!).
I think I looked fabulous! This time I chose a shimmering rose-gold ensemble – my bespoke pink tutu was topped off with a delicate sequined crop top that matched the rose-gold platform heels. And what else could I carry to such a magical journey but a sparkling clutch? The look was a complete triumph!
Sparkling Show!
This was a night where the whole crowd shimmered along with me! You see, my theme for this Stevenage gig was ‘Under The Stars’. Imagine… The whole theatre twinkling like the night sky! I went for an ethereal vibe - my outfit was a flowing midnight-blue chiffon number adorned with sequins the size of tiny constellations. Oh, I forgot to mention! I decided to give the ‘ballet in the night’ concept a go by styling a tutu to flow beneath my gown as a subtle homage to those delicate ballet skirts. I even adorned my signature pink crown with a silver-sequin nebula-pattern that complemented the entire outfit. It looked fabulous, honey!
The magic of Stevenage
After my spectacular set (the whole audience was yelling ‘encore’!), the real star of the night turned out to be the audience. The whole town loved my Pink Tutu act! Some of the best compliments came from these charming grannies – such sweethearts. They couldn’t stop praising me – said it reminded them of their own dancing days! A bunch of them even had a wee dance with me in the lobby after the show. How charming!
It really did feel like a homecoming – all these kind faces reminded me so much of the Derbyshire locals back where I grew up!
What did I discover?
Now, here’s the most fabulous bit about this adventure - it reminded me to explore the world with an open heart, especially little gems like Stevenage.

And where does this pink tutu fairy tale take us next? Well, my next big adventure is to the Cotswolds! It’s time for some quintessentially British countryside magic with a touch of Pink Tutu sparkles, of course. Think horse-drawn carriages and rolling hills. And no, honey, this time I won't be using the train – there’s only one way for me to travel in the Cotswolds - with a bit of equestrian glamour! That’s right - think a horse-drawn carriage pulled by gleaming chestnut horses - talk about fabulous!
