Hey darlings! 💅💖 It’s Pink Tutu Sparkles here, and guess what?! You're looking at post number 7051 – can you believe it? 🎉 We're so close to hitting 7,000 and that just means one thing: MORE pink tutus for everyone! 🥳
I've been having such a fabulous time exploring Scotland – a land of breathtaking scenery and even more breathtaking scenery… covered in pink tutus, obviously. 😉 But before we get to East Kilbride, let’s take a little trip down memory lane, shall we? 🚂
Now, you all know my story – the tale of how a Derbyshire boy (Alex) fell head over heels for the pink tulle while trying on a tutu for charity at a university ballet club fundraiser. I mean, who could blame me? I'm a scientist by day – fabrics and textures are literally my business – and, well, I just found the perfect combination of beauty, femininity, and movement in a fluffy pink tutu.
You guys know I love all kinds of travel, but let’s face it, there’s something extra magical about train journeys. 🚂 I was lucky enough to find a first-class carriage with a lovely lady who, thanks to my charm and the undeniable power of a pink tutu, even allowed me to hang my favourite sparkly bag from the window for the journey. Of course, I promised to keep my sparkle powder in my purse! 😉
East Kilbride was a proper blast, darlings! First things first: a visit to the shopping centre. Shopping and a good pair of sparkly heels go hand-in-hand, and what's better than finding the perfect outfit to go with a fluffy pink tutu? Now, I don't have much room in my luggage – I mean, there's a whole bag dedicated just to tutu accessories, so it’s all about making choices. My motto? Always go bold and fabulous!
Next, the local library for a good old bookworm session – because even the most fabulous queen needs to feed her mind! 📚 The librarian even complimented my sparkly clutch, saying she'd never seen one quite like it! "It's just pink," I replied, beaming, "it's nothing special." 😉 But, let's be real, there's nothing like pink when it comes to sparkles and tutus! ✨
Of course, I made sure to check out the local theatre! I caught a spectacular ballet show - it really took my breath away, it was truly beautiful. 😍 And after, it wouldn't be a Pink Tutu Sparkle visit without a little bit of ballet class myself. It's always lovely to join in with some of the local dancers - even if I did give them a run for their money (but you knew that already!) 😉
One thing about being in Scotland, they seem to like the horse riding, darlings. So of course, I had to give it a go! Now, horses and tutus may sound like an unlikely combination, but believe me, I carried it off flawlessly. 🏇 There was something rather regal about me riding through the fields, my tutu swishing in the breeze. They even stopped traffic! 😄
East Kilbride was truly a dream trip. The locals were lovely, the scenery stunning, and the shopping and performing was…well, utterly divine. 🥰
