Ramsgate Rainbow: Post #7138

Oh darlings, you wonā€™t believe what I got up to this week! Ramsgate, my loves, Ramsgate! The sea air, the Victorian seaside vibesā€¦ and my darlings, the pink skies as the sun dipped into the ocean, it was absolute magic!

You know how much I adore a bit of travelling, and when my good friend, the fabulous Brenda Bo-Belle, asked if I wanted to join her on a trip to the Kent Coast, wellā€¦ I nearly levitated off my chaise longue in excitement! I knew right then it would be the perfect adventure for Post #7138! Now, you might be thinking: ā€œAlex, how did you manage to travel so far without breaking the bank?ā€ Well, you see, itā€™s all in the timing and a good bit of creative thinking! As usual, the beautiful Pink Tutu Sparkles went where the gigs led!

I was so lucky to be booked for a fab gig in a lovely village hall just outside Ramsgate. Now, if you think village halls are drab and dreary, youā€™re sadly mistaken. This little hall, my dears, had all the charm of a seaside postcard. Imagine my excitement as I set up my stage under twinkling fairy lights, the gentle murmur of the seaside wafting in through the window. A full-house of wonderful souls ā€“ the perfect place to showcase a bit of Tutu Queen magic! I gave my best ā€œCabaret of Dreams,ā€ mixing old and new favourites. My gorgeous silver sparkly ā€œDance of the Swansā€ was met with such a lovely ovation. It truly made my day to be surrounded by such an appreciative crowd.

After my performance, the locals invited me to a pub nearby - I call them ā€œlocal delights,ā€ because there's nothing I love more than a good chat with people who genuinely appreciate the arts. And this groupā€¦ you see, these weren't just ordinary folk, they were an entire group of ballet lovers, you see! So much so, that they were in talks to set up their own little ballet club!

My goodness, I could have talked to these lovely people all night. They wanted to know about my whole Tutu journeyā€¦ how a scientist by day, ended up being a fabulous drag queen by night! We even exchanged a few tutu-related tips, which, naturally, we took outside into the Ramsgate breezeā€¦ let me tell you, Iā€™m just brimming with inspiration for my next post-show Tutu-inspired outfit, you just wait! Itā€™s going to be an absolute spectacle!

Anyway, after the pub, I made my way down to the beach. My dears, it was so serene, and the sea air... ahhhh. You can imagine, of course, that my Tutu Queen garb wasnā€™t exactly practical for walking along the shore, so I went for a classic look, a white lace dress and my trademark pink lipstick, and of course, the essential tulle petticoat! It wouldn't be me without some pink, right?

Later on, I took the opportunity to admire the breathtaking architecture of Ramsgate's beautiful Victorian properties. The place was oozing with seaside elegance. Just thinking about the fabulous interior decor is sending a little shiver of excitement down my spineā€¦ it wouldn't be surprising if there was some fabulous pink inspiration hidden inside! Now wouldnā€™t that make a glorious Instagram post?!

Speaking of inspiration, did I tell you that a local craft fair took place in a fantastic hall nearby? The scent of lavender and freshly baked goods ā€“ you could have cut the air with a knife, darling. I couldnā€™t resist a good old fashioned stroll and had a lovely chat with some truly delightful ladiesā€¦ I even got to hold some wonderful old photographs of the Victorian women wearing tutus! Talk about nostalgia, the past just felt so aliveā€¦

So, all in all, this trip to Ramsgate has truly filled my soul with creativity, beauty and the sweetest seaside charm. Oh, my darlings, I promise, if I donā€™t make Ramsgate into my new permanent home soon, you can call me the queen of boring routines!

You know me, my dears. Iā€™m on a mission. I aim to bring the magic of the pink tutu to every corner of this beautiful world.

Don't forget to join me again tomorrow on www.pink-tutu.com. What would YOU like to see? Let me know! Until next time, stay sparkly, stay fabulous, and rememberā€¦ everyone can wear a pink tutu!

Yours always,

The Tutu Queen

(And if you're ever in the area, do drop in on the village hall ā€“ maybe you'll get lucky and catch me performing, I might just even inspire you to join me in the grand world of ballet!).
