Today, we're on the sunny shores of Bridlington, and let me tell you, this town is a real gem, much like this fabulous Pink Tutu Queen! ✨ This is post number 7164, and as always, I'm bringing you the latest on my travels and everything pink and fluffy.
Bridlington is like stepping into a vintage postcard - cobbled streets, quaint little shops, and that classic seaside charm that just makes you feel happy! The sun was shining like a sparkly disco ball, and it felt like a perfect day for a pink tutu. You know, there are days when a tutu just feels right, don't you agree?
So, imagine this, I'm whizzing on a train, gazing out at the fields of England, my pink tutu swishing like a beautiful cloud in the wind. (Let's be honest, trains are the perfect way to travel. You can get a little work done, admire the view, and best of all - no traffic jams!) And when I say work, I mean crafting a little pink magic. In this instance, my latest masterpiece was being dreamt up, my Bridlington tutu, you see! I mean, a trip to the seaside always calls for a fabulous seaside inspired tutu. Think, shells, seashells, oh, and a little bit of shimmering glitter of course.
But let's be honest, every trip needs a reason, doesn't it? Well, this little Pink Tutu Queen has got two! Firstly, my favourite ballet company was touring, performing "The Sleeping Beauty" right here in Bridlington! Talk about a dream come true! Seeing dancers pirouette and leap across the stage, in the most beautiful costumes imaginable, truly ignited the ballerina in me. That’s when my mind began spinning. My tutu needed a princess theme to go with the performance - and oh boy did it turn out well!
Speaking of inspiring, this lovely town, well, it was positively bursting with inspiration. It felt like stepping into a movie set with its stunning seaside, cobbled streets, and charming independent shops. You could almost hear the waves whispering about their journey from the sea to the shore - perfect for a little tutu inspiration.
My second reason for my trip to this enchanting coastal gem was, of course, the opportunity to bring my fabulous drag act to Bridlington's bustling Saturday market. They said I could set up a stand anywhere, and let me tell you, it was a sight to behold. My vibrant pink booth practically screamed "pinkness" from every corner. My sparkly makeup and glittery tulle tutu, and even my sassy poses brought joy to the crowd, and my handmade tutu merchandise went down a treat.
We all need a little bit of "pink" in our lives, and I think I succeeded in bringing that joy to Bridlington's streets. It was magical seeing children giggle at my tutu, adults get mesmerised by the sparkles, and everyone taking a moment to let their inner child shine.
My favourite moment? You guessed it, I had a little dance competition! You see, Bridlington holds an annual talent show - and let's just say this little Pink Tutu Queen didn't disappoint. A tap-dancing tutu routine is not easily forgotten - it's safe to say I captivated the crowd and added a dash of pink to Bridlington’s talent pool!
This little Pink Tutu Queen truly believes that life is a dance, and what better place to spread the message than in a town as beautiful and inspiring as Bridlington! It's a town that definitely has my little tutu heart captured, a little like I have captivated your attention with this fantastic blog! Post Scriptum:Okay, I’ve got to be honest with you. My love for pink tutus was truly born from a scientific accident. Remember that time I studied science at the university? And remember how much I loved the university ballet club? Well, one fateful day, a fundraising drive had me put on a tutu, and let me tell you - it felt magical.
It’s safe to say, this scientific-turned-fashion-fairy stumbled across a love for something completely unexpected. And this love for all things pink has taken me on the most wonderful journeys. It turns out, science and fashion are a powerful mix when they collide, creating pink miracles every single day. By day I’m in the lab, testing fabrics for their elasticity, strength, and colour (of course pink is always my top choice!), and by night I get to share the joy of tutus with the world! It’s all connected!
