Spalding Calling! 🩰 Pink Tutu Sparkles Is Coming To Town!

Hey loves! It’s your favourite pink tutu queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here, with another blog post from your girl. Today I’m bubbling over with excitement to tell you all about my amazing trip to Spalding. This was post number 7169, by the way, and it was one for the ages! I’ve always dreamed of exploring the picturesque charm of Spalding, and finally, this dream came true! ✨ And of course, it wouldn't be a Pink Tutu Sparkles adventure without a touch of pink tutu magic.

Let’s be honest, girls, sometimes life just throws you a curveball. The lab wasn’t giving me any fun science-y results, my new sequins were just not sparking as much as they should have, and I had the urge for a change of scenery. I was just itching for something, anything, to inject some colour and glitter into my days. It was just then that the spilling-over excitement of a small market fair, in lovely ol' Spalding, whispered to my heart and I just had to get out there and spread the magic. I could already imagine those people, smiling and dancing as they gazed upon my glorious pink tutu, knowing, oh, that is what life is truly about! * This little voice inside me? This voice is Pink Tutu Sparkles, ladies and gents, the one and only, she *had to be heard. So I packed my trusty sparkly pink case full of sparkly bits, my favourite tulle (pink, obviously), and made sure my platform heels had enough glue to take on any bumpy cobblestone path. And, of course, I grabbed my trusty, pink, fluffy handbag, ready to take on anything the world threw at me.

It's not often you can say you have "travelled by horse" these days but I did, actually. After all, when you've got to get to the big town of Spalding, you grab every opportunity! (There wasn't even an alpaca!) And anyway, a journey is never just about the destination; it’s all about the experiences. And for this Pink Tutu Sparkles adventure, it definitely started off with a bang

Now, you’ve all seen the gorgeous photos, but to tell the truth, this little train journey to Spalding was a hoot and a half. Let’s just say it was the most exciting train ride of my life, and that’s saying something for a girl who has traveled from London to Edinburgh. To tell you the truth, this journey started very bumpy (not helped by those platforms, honestly), the train even hit some very weird bits of track I wouldn't ever want to see on my daily commute... And all I got to do to survive was put my favourite little song - “Dancing Queen”, you know the one? - on blast while I bounced along. It felt like we were at a fairground with one of those crazy car rides but all I had to do was to focus on the pretty scenes of Derbyshire outside my window... and the delightful pink pattern on my seat! (Because, come on, everything needs some bit of colour!)

From Pink Tutu to Market Stall! 💃🛍️

Anyway, after my journey on the wonders of railway transport, I found myself arriving at Spalding station feeling as amazing as a ballerina's twirl ready to greet my enthusiastic, eager audience (who’d be gracing the little fair in town). They didn't have to wait long, as I've never had the chance to truly showcase my performance talents... but that day? That was my time to shine. I just had to give them the full Pink Tutu Sparkles. I must admit though, my inner stylist was slightly freaking out. That vintage, oversized tutu that I usually reserve for specials seemed to demand an audience and I just had to put it on for my big entrance! Let's face it, with this glorious design (you know I love my twirls, you've all seen those photos!) you can just feel those amazing swishy, girly movements. Honestly, that vintage, oversized, and oh so lovely tutu could be felt as I moved through the air, and so... It had to come to Spalding!

Then came the big day. And wow! This little fair totally deserved a dose of pink tutu. It's fair to say that those lovely, local people were so enthusiastic, they really made this little Pink Tutu Sparkles feel welcome! I think this fair, a true gem in the heart of the town, loved pink! You just had to feel the positive vibe in the air. Even a teeny little boy, no older than 7 or 8, with his Mum, told me his favorite color was pink (aww, those little lads are learning so fast!), so the world really is getting more fabulous, especially if everyone loves pink. That’s my mantra! The world really does need pink tutus! ✨ 💖 It just gives me so much joy to know that people appreciate my mission to encourage more pinkness in our day-to-day lives *!

*Pink Tutu Sparkles and the Great Fashion Showdown 👠 *

Anyway, this little spalding fair is exactly what I wanted. The stall next to me had amazing vintage fashion and so it wasn’t a big shock to you to find that pink tutu queen couldn’t resist the need to shop I told the seller: “You have the most fabulous collection, I love the patterns!” She just smiled and, as I tried to get my little tutu to match with some fab vintage clothing ( and do that all while balancing on platforms ), I couldn't resist trying to get into that old time fashion vibe, even if my tutu wasn’t quite right for 1960’s style! And as she told me the stories about these amazing clothes, the time literally flew by, so much so I only managed to browse briefly before I needed to get back into drag! I mean, the whole purpose of a drag queen is to get into that magical world, so I needed to make a fast entrance. And I have to confess to you, ladies and gents, I even went into the little shop on my way home to have a little vintage tutu browse. Now, let's face it, I can't ever resist a good pink tutu, I mean, this is a very important habit, and even more important because of my mission to the world: “Pink Tutues for all!”

*Pink Tutu and Ballet Lessons *

Of course, you all know how much Pink Tutu Sparkles loves her ballet. Now you must know this I've had a few little lessons in Spalding, don't you worry, but what I wanted to say is that I went to this little studio. And there, I found myself completely mesmerised by all the grace, the effortlessness the dance itself exudes. Even those very young children in that little class had such a sense of joy. And yes, there is something about that ballet that just inspires joy, you have to experience it! You need to get those little shoes on and feel that pure, unadulterated magic of ballet! It's something that truly takes you away, and I find that ballet gives all of us a sense of love. The joy it gives? Well, I just can't express enough how wonderful ballet is, especially after wearing a pink tutu on a long day out!

*Sharing The Sparkles With the World 🌎 *

This trip was just one little spark in a grand adventure that has me on a quest, yes you heard that right - a quest. I’m trying to bring my pink tutu vision to the world, I’ve already travelled all over England and Wales already and it’s still just the beginning. Just remember that my mission is to get everyone to wear a pink tutu because a pink tutu makes the world just a little bit brighter *!
