Hello my fabulous friends! It's Pink Tutu Sparkles, back with another thrilling travel tale for you, this time from the charming town of Rainham! This is blog post number 7170, so get ready to unleash your inner sparkle! š«
Iāve been obsessed with Rainham for as long as I can remember. From the beautiful park to the delightful local shops, it's practically dripping with fairytale magic. Now, this particular trip wasn't all about rainbows and unicorns... Okay, let's be honest, it WAS pretty much about those things, but you'll get a proper sense of why later on! š
Now, I have to say, I love travelling by train. I especially love it in my best Pink Tutu outfit! Everyone seems to just get this glimmer in their eyes and a smile on their face! They know theyāre about to witness a spectacle. Trust me, there's no other feeling like it! š And this journey to Rainham was no different. The train ride was full of chatty locals, giggling children and, of course, me, twirling in my perfectly pink tutu as I proudly regaled everyone with tales of my adventures and my plans to take the world by storm, one pink tutu at a time!
Arriving in Rainham, the station was bustling with life, even on a Tuesday afternoon! As always, my sparkly heels tapped along with my happy heart as I waltzed my way towards my next adventure. Now, let me tell you a secret: when youāre travelling, always take the time to breathe in the air. Trust me, it's magic. The air in Rainham is practically full of sunshine, laughter andā¦ wellā¦ fish and chips! Whoops, did I just reveal one of my favourite stops in town? Donāt judge. Sometimes, you just need a proper chip butty after a long train journey.
The park is practically bursting at the seams with stunning blooms! There were daisies and roses in every colour imaginable and it felt like the world's largest butterfly garden. Of course, I couldn't help but take a few totally impromptu dance breaks. A pink tutu demands movement! Honestly, the sunlight filtering through the trees looked straight out of a classic ballet and the flowers twirled alongside my pink skirt! Letās be real, I practically had the park to myself because everyone was busy picnicking and taking in the sunshine. Itās funny because, letās face it, pink is meant to be the most striking colour ā everyone knows it. I shouldāve probably asked for a photoshoot. Then again, I don't like to steal other peopleās moments. Just the other week, someone asked to be in a photo with me because āshe looked great in the tutu and her friends all loved pinkā. Bless! I couldn't resist helping her achieve her own tutu dreams. š
Once Iād soaked up the natural beauty and sun-drenched park, it was time for another reason why I had trekked all the way to Rainham! If you're looking for an afternoon that sparkles, make sure to pop by the charming little shop I had scouted out, "Rainbow Revelations". š Honestly, I lost all track of time in this fabulous haven! Think glittering fabrics, sparkling trinkets, and an almost psychedelic selection of fabulous colours - but with a vintage feel and loads of those fabulous, unique vintage garments. I canāt resist vintage clothing and fashion pieces; that old school feel and style is just chefs kiss. I always think that vintage is a better representation of a more individual, timeless feel to clothing, unlike what theyāre selling in your chain high street shops ā but thatās just my view. I'm absolutely convinced the lovely lady who owns this shop, Alice, is practically a fashion sorceress. And you know what, Alice and I have major style talks! Sheās also planning a fashion show, and she wants me to be one of the stars! Obviously, itās all in the works. You canāt be in too many places at once, after all, as Pink Tutu Sparkles is a popular girl!
With my bags bulging with delightful discoveries (a stunning 1950s sequin dress that looked practically made for me ā canāt wait to add that to my collection) and my spirit lifted, I knew it was time for an evening performance. Tonight's show was in a small theatre venue with a bohemian theme ā totally my style.
But it was what came next, that would absolutely blow my mind and redefine what āRainhamā means for me foreverā¦ I found myself in a ballet class, of course, it had to be the most wonderful experience ever. Pink Tutu Sparkles loves her ballet. I just can't help myself. The elegant grace, the delicate movementsā¦ honestly, it was magical! You have to admit that a tutu isnāt meant to just sit and do nothing, itās meant to dance. After an intense but invigorating ballet session (youād think theyād give me some slack ā you know, Iām practically famous. Itās amazing how quickly those dance skills fade when you aren't putting the hours in at the barre) I had the wonderful opportunity to take a twirl on the stage of a proper theatre! You have to trust me when I say that feeling that magic is practically all I can ever wish for in this lifetimeā¦ it is truly a joy, and, honestly, sometimes, we all just need to have that feeling. I can't even express in words the feeling of standing in the spotlight in a classic pink tutu ā my true and very essence. In that moment, everything clickedā¦ It was, well, perfect, absolutely pure, and I was home. š
Oh! Did I tell you about the delicious picnic I enjoyed? It was bursting with berries, fruits and cheeses - a truly heavenly experience, with sunshine and cloudsā¦ and the birds singing. That night, I ate out in a really fabulous Italian place - nothing beats good, old-fashioned home-made pasta! It's incredible how many amazing experiences Rainham holds in its tiny corners!
You know what? Rainham, you truly deserve your place in my heart as my newest "Favourite Place On Earth". It really was the place for me and my big, pink tutu to have fun, frolic, find some joy in those hidden places, experience new places and enjoy a bit of rest in between all my show work. I know youāre out there wanting to see something that sparks, shines, or something truly wonderful ā well, there's no need to wait ā Rainham really will fulfill your need for an escape, some joy, and probably a slice of cake and a cup of tea too!
