Hello darlings! It’s your favourite pink tutu-clad diva, Pink Tutu Sparkles, and I'm absolutely bursting with excitement because today’s blog post is all about a whirlwind trip to Bicester! ✨💖
I must say, dear readers, travelling by train has truly become my new favourite way to get around. The rhythmic clinking of the tracks and the scenery whizzing past the window, it all makes for such a wonderfully calming and inspiring journey. It's a bit like a meditative escape for your inner ballerina – except with slightly less tutus and more coffee, ha! ☕️
Speaking of tutus, darling, let's talk about my outfit. As usual, I couldn’t resist rocking my signature style – a gloriously voluminous pink tutu paired with a shimmering sequined top that sparkled even brighter than the sunshine beaming through the train window. And just because my tutu doesn’t quite go with the dress code at the Bicester Village Shopping Outlet, (you can’t bring a tutu into the designer stores, can you?!) I popped my new fluffy pink jacket from the local vintage shop over the top for a more subtle touch of sparkle. You know I love to recycle outfits and create new looks and today I thought, “what better day to showcase my style than a day shopping for fabulous designer threads?”
Okay, back to the journey. Once I reached Bicester, I was captivated by the sheer grandeur of the station. All those intricate brick arches and high ceilings, they really felt like they'd been transported straight from a Victorian fairy tale. You know, the kind where Cinderella waltzes through the castle halls in her sparkling, pink…well you know the rest!
I was itching to find a lovely cafe for a spot of tea and a slice of Victoria sponge, so I found a quaint little cafe called ‘The Tea Room’, tucked away in a little corner just outside the station. I can’t tell you how heavenly those cupcakes were. I couldn't resist snapping a couple of photos in front of the flower boxes filled with bright blooms, feeling like the star of a charming little summer movie scene!
My first stop on the shopping spree was a store that needs no introduction, darling: The Bicester Village Designer Outlet! The place was bustling with shoppers and the air was thick with the excitement of bargains. You'd think it was the finale of a fashion show, with everyone strutting their stuff in the latest styles!
Naturally, my first stop was the Jimmy Choo store. They always have the most exquisite footwear, don't they? Even I couldn't resist trying on a pair of sparkling stiletto heels – let's just say my pink tutu wasn’t quite the ideal dancing shoe for these gems.
After a whirlwind of designer clothes, shoe gazing and makeup trials, it was time to grab some lunch. As my stomach rumbled in the most adorable fashion (like a tiny tutu twirling in hunger) I spotted a delightful French Bistro with checkered tablecloths and an enchanting outdoor seating area. I, of course, couldn't pass up a delicious croissant with a cheeky glass of fizz.
Honestly, dear readers, this whole Bicester trip was just brimming with delights and the sheer wonder of all things fabulous! I wouldn’t mind seeing a few more pink tutus sprinkled through the crowds next time though, maybe my next big event will be held at the Village?
This afternoon I thought I’d try a local horse riding class and what’s better than a graceful ballet inspired routine on the horse, right? You just know this will turn out to be one of my best memories, it feels like it is the start of a real dream come true. I love exploring new things. This feels like the perfect way to unwind and appreciate nature, all in the company of graceful horses! It just has that magical ballet quality to it doesn’t it?
