It’s Pink Tutu Sparkles here, and today, I’m buzzing with excitement as I pen my latest blog post. I’ve just had the most enchanting weekend trip to the beautiful seaside town of Deal, in the Garden of England. I adore Kent – the cobbled streets, the historic pubs, and the fresh salty air make my soul sing. This time I journeyed there via the glamorous and efficient means of train, which let’s be honest, is the perfect vehicle for a pink-tutu-wearing queen like myself. 🚄
Deal: A Pastel Paradise
As my trusty steed arrived in Deal station, I couldn’t resist an impromptu photo op on the platform, with the quaint station buildings behind me and the promise of an adventure before me. Let me tell you, the station staff loved the pink tutu - they couldn't stop beaming and asking me about it! You can imagine the absolute adoration I received! 💖 My pink tutu and sparkling tiara really stole the show - after all, what else do you wear when your travel destination is called Deal?! I always aim for a bit of wordplay, you know - and what's a trip to Deal without a bit of glitz and glamour? 😉
The first thing that struck me when I arrived in Deal was the delightful pastel hues that washed over me like a watercolour painting. Everything was a dreamy, almost vintage, pale pink, mint green, and soft blue. This was heaven on earth! A perfect setting for the Pink Tutu Queen! Oh, and can I tell you, I discovered this fantastic shop - the sweetest vintage dress shop with rows and rows of adorable retro clothes in shades of bubblegum pink, mint, and lemon - a tutu-wearer's paradise! It’s no wonder that this gorgeous town has become a magnet for bloggers like myself! 🌸 And then there’s the beach... it just adds a touch of elegance, a serene backdrop for the pink tutu... imagine how beautiful those pictures will be when they’re up on the Pink-Tutu website!
Tutu-tastic Theatrics in Deal
Now, if you know me, you know that I’m a ballet enthusiast, obsessed with anything to do with dance - and Deal had a delightful surprise in store for me! Turns out, it hosts a thriving theatrical community with an abundance of performances, some taking place in actual Victorian seaside shelters! Imagine - a Victorian seaside setting with pink tulle and a touch of the most magical and vibrant performances? Yes, please! 💖
I was lucky enough to catch a fantastic performance of ‘Alice in Wonderland’ – with local talent taking on all the beloved roles, each one with an individual take and a touch of theatricality. There was such enthusiasm for the show – you could just feel the love for performing, the sheer joy radiating off the stage – I simply couldn't resist doing a little wiggle and a pirouette as the finale music played. A truly fabulous night - and the perfect inspiration for my next Pink Tutu creation - something truly fantastical. ✨
Food Fit For a Pink Tutu Queen
Deal has a fantastic selection of restaurants and cafes – from traditional pubs to the most delightful seafront seafood restaurants. As always, being a fashion conscious queen, the food presentation is very important to me! Luckily, my first lunch at a charming, pink and cream-themed café was a masterpiece of deliciousness, with dishes beautifully arranged, almost works of art! 💖 It definitely had me wanting to take photos and upload them straight to my social media, a foodie-lover’s delight!
I am known to have an unusual taste, and my most unforgettable lunch in Deal was at a delightful cafe serving the most wonderful, beautifully decorated pastries. A little decadent indulgence for my journey through this seaside paradise! 🍰 Of course, my Instagram story was adorned with pictures, highlighting all the delightful desserts. I wouldn’t be the Pink Tutu Sparkles if I wasn't showcasing these amazing culinary masterpieces to my dear online following!
Pink Tutu Sparkle - Everywhere I go!
I just have to mention this funny little story. I was taking a delightful stroll down the beachfront, admiring the panoramic views, and what did I see - two young girls sporting my beloved, iconic pink tutus! I felt such pride seeing my personal style adopted in such a gorgeous setting. The girls couldn’t be more thrilled about them. I ended up stopping for a chat with their delighted parents – my mission of turning everyone pink is working! It’s such a joy to see other people enjoying the same things that I do. 🥰
Life in a Pink Tutu - Day and Night
As some of you may know, the Pink Tutu Queen has a double life! During the day, I am a scientist, meticulously analysing textiles and pushing boundaries in my little world of fibres and fabric, whilst always seeking that perfect material for the most magnificent, sparkling tutus. As for my evenings and weekends - well, the pink tutu gets worn, the magic and sparkle get cranked up to eleven, and I'm bringing a touch of femininity and pink tulle to every stage, every fair, every gathering, where a Pink Tutu Queen can dazzle! 💃✨ Life is a dazzling journey – it's about being yourself, expressing yourself and of course, letting those magnificent tutus fly free!
Pink Tutu Sparkles Takes Deal By Storm
Deal, you've won a place in my heart. It’s such a friendly and welcoming place with a charming vintage style, a bustling centre full of life and a relaxed and glamorous seaside feel. And to top it off - it was my personal haven for some serious pink-tutu wearing, and who knows what fabulous new creations it inspired! 🩰💖
As I say goodbye to Deal, my pink tutu in tow, I'm already planning my next journey, thinking about which town will next feel the magic of the Pink Tutu Queen!
