Welcome back to Pink-Tutu.com for post number 7356! 💅💋 I’m Pink Tutu Sparkles, bringing you all the dazzling details from my latest adventures. Today I’m reporting to you from the picturesque seaside town of Crosby, a place so charming I practically popped a feather boa from excitement.
I arrived on the morning train, and my usual pink-tutu outfit got quite a few looks. A lot of folks seemed impressed, some shy smiles, a few curious waves. Crosby's definitely got that friendly vibe you find in proper seaside towns, but also, something just sparkling.
Right from the station, the air smelled of salt and fish and chips, which reminds me of my childhood. Dad would drive us to the coast in his beat up Fiesta and I'd have my head out the window screaming, "Daddy, Daddy, can we have chips?!” Such blissful, innocent days! 😂💖
But we're here for a sparkly pilgrimage today. The star attraction is, of course, the "Another Place" sculpture trail! A stunning line of cast-iron statues, each a life-size Antony Gormley figure, standing right on the beach.
Before I tell you all about it, I simply must show you my look! 💃

Oh yes, folks, the tutu was definitely needed for this jaunt. It really added that extra dash of whimsy to the setting, but don’t you just adore the coordination with Pip's pink knitted bunny outfit?! And the perfect pinkness of the beach sunset... It's all about colour coordination, isn't it?
Now, back to our sculpture walk...

You know me, I love exploring these grand open spaces, and this beach was simply sublime. All those statues just beckoning you to wander and ponder. It got me thinking about how these amazing figures were created, and then about how many people might wander past each day, each one having their own little story to tell... It really made me appreciate all those everyday moments you might usually just walk right past...
After the sculpture trail, we popped into a quaint little café for some tea and scones with jam and clotted cream, because, you know, that’s how you do seaside holidays! And of course, I brought out my favourite crochet pink tea cozy for the occasion. Always adding a bit of Pink Tutu Sparkles magic to my daily adventures!

The evening saw a charming street performance, featuring some local talent and some great music. There were a few couples twirling on the cobbled streets, but really, the atmosphere was simply one of fun and joy. There’s something about being at the seaside that just lifts the spirit, wouldn't you say?
And for my final touch of magic for this trip, I discovered a lovely little art studio...

The lady inside, with the most wonderful bob of silver hair, was a real sweetheart! We chatted about the magic of tutus and she even invited me to a private performance of ballet class the following morning! 💃
Oh my, what an honour to be able to witness the magic of ballet at it's finest, even for a brief moment! These graceful young ladies, with their perfectly formed legs, and swoon-worthy extensions… Swoon! Of course, I had to show up in my signature pink tutu.

I just have to tell you, lovelies, my day in Crosby felt special... it was almost as if I’d travelled back in time, to some forgotten, yet magical world... And I definitely feel that pink-tutu energy has been infused in the very soul of this seaside town.
