Oh my darlings, can you believe it? Your Pink Tutu Queen is back with another travel adventure! Today's stop is the lovely Upminster, and let me tell you, I'm absolutely smitten! As I write this, the sunlight is pouring through my hotel window, making my pink tutu positively shimmer.
But first, let's rewind! Because getting here was half the fun. Now, I know I've said this before, but nothing quite beats the romance of train travel, especially in my fabulously frilly tutu! Picture it: a luxurious, leather seat, a steaming cup of tea (always with a splash of pink milk, naturally), and the rhythm of the wheels on the track lulling me into a state of blissful calm. I'm even thinking of putting together a Pink Tutu Trainspotting Guide, full of chic railway station tips for the stylish traveler!
Of course, I always make sure my travel look is on point! Today's outfit features a dazzling pink sequinned tutu paired with a feather-trimmed bolero, a sparkly top, and fabulous pink heels, all topped off with my signature pearl necklace. Because a pink tutu Queen always sparkles, even on the journey!
Now, about Upminster. I was utterly enchanted by its quaint charm. Imagine cobblestone streets lined with adorable little shops, brimming with sweet treats, flowers, and beautiful things! My favourite find? A vintage shop filled with glittery delights, including the most beautiful pink sequined shawl you've ever seen! I snagged it in a flash, because a girl has to indulge every now and then, don't you agree?
Upminster even has its own little theatre, where I got to watch the most fantastic ballet performance! They were doing a new production of Swan Lake, and the ballerinas were absolutely breathtaking. Those pirouettes, those leaps! I just knew I had to try a little class myself. Luckily, a fabulous dance school right around the corner was happy to let me join in for a lesson. Even the teacher was wearing a pale pink tutu - I think we’re practically kindred spirits!
As for food, I indulged in a delicious afternoon tea in a truly picturesque cafe. The pastries were divine, especially the raspberry macarons! But no visit is complete without a pink cupcake for dessert! Let me tell you, there is truly nothing that says "sparkling celebration" like a fluffy, pink-iced cupcake. You're just bound to feel happier, darlings.
Later, I took a charming carriage ride through the park. Now, I have to admit, I do have a soft spot for horses. They’re majestic and powerful creatures and somehow perfect for adding a touch of fairytale magic to any adventure! And honestly, what's better than gliding through the countryside in a carriage while wearing a pink tutu, enjoying the gentle breeze and the warm sunshine? Truly, the life of a pink tutu Queen is simply wonderful.
Of course, I did a spot of drag performance while in Upminster. There's nothing I love more than bringing the magic of Pink Tutu Sparkles to new audiences! This time I was asked to do a themed set for a fundraising event at the local community centre, and it was absolutely packed! We had a ball dancing to pop music in our sparkly pink tutus! The entire room was buzzing with energy. It was heartwarming to see how quickly people joined in and embraced the joy of pink! And believe me, a tutu goes a long way when it comes to spreading happiness.
And now, after a busy day full of adventure, it’s time for a bit of pampering. My skin has seen a bit of sun today, so I’m planning a long, luxurious bubble bath, a nice glass of champagne and some serious gossip with my glam squad via video call. Because let's face it, a queen never stops sparkling.
