Paris, Je T’aime! 🇫🇷 💖✨ (Blog Post #7510)

Hello, darlings! It's your favourite pink-loving, tutu-touting, drag queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, reporting live from the City of Lights! 💖🗼

Ooh la la, Paris! It's been a whirlwind of a few days here, but I wouldn't have it any other way. As a self-proclaimed drag queen, I've always dreamed of bringing my unique brand of pink-tutu-liciousness to this city of romance, fashion, and of course, the ballet. 🩰

I arrived on the Eurostar, a perfect way to travel in style and enjoy the picturesque views – it’s like a little mini-theatre in itself. It gave me plenty of time to get my Paris-chic look sorted, naturally including my signature pink tutu, which I paired with a sparkly, sequined top and a feather boa. Just because it’s Paris, it doesn't mean I can’t stay true to my flamboyant, pink-tastic self, right? 😄

Now, let me tell you, there’s nothing quite like stepping off the train and taking a big gulp of the Paris air, which, by the way, always smells like fresh pastries and a hint of romance. 💕 I can't help but feel that Paris was made for someone like me: a bubbly, glamorous drag queen who loves a bit of glitz and glamour. And of course, I can't forget to mention the incredible ballet scene! It's a city where dance is truly embraced and celebrated, from the majestic Opéra Garnier to the intimate, hidden ballet studios tucked away in the cobbled streets.

My first stop was the Opéra Garnier, of course. It's like stepping into a fairytale, with its grandeur, ornate architecture, and stunningly decorated ceilings. I mean, have you ever seen such intricate chandeliers? They literally twinkle! ✨ I actually got to see a ballet performance there and the dancers were amazing, they seemed to be flying through the air! It just made my heart sing, honestly. The choreography was just stunning, so elegant, powerful, and emotive - it almost made me want to grab my own tutu and join in. Almost! 😜

Later that afternoon, I treated myself to a private ballet class at a hidden studio I found nestled in a quiet courtyard in Montmartre. You wouldn’t believe the amount of incredible shops you stumble upon, hidden down winding side streets, especially in the charming Montmartre district. That afternoon's class was simply heavenly. My ballet instructor, Mademoiselle Simone, was an absolute delight - a true Parisienne with a passion for dance and a playful sense of humour. I loved the way she could make even the simplest step look effortlessly elegant. She had me gliding across the studio floor in a pink tutu, swirling, and leaping. It was pure joy! It really felt like I was a part of the magic of Paris. ✨

Naturally, after an energetic ballet session, I was ravenous. It’s not easy pirouetting for hours without proper sustenance! I stumbled upon a delightful cafe tucked away on a side street, overflowing with pastries, the air thick with the scent of fresh bread and coffee. I opted for a delicate almond croissant, a delicious piece of gateau, and of course, a cup of strong, black coffee - after all, one has to fuel all those spins and twirls! The owner, Madame Berthe, was such a sweet old soul with twinkling eyes. We spoke about her love of ballet and I showed her my signature pink tutu - we had such a lovely chat, it’s amazing how just a little bit of pink tulle can open the door to new friendships!

Of course, a trip to Paris isn’t complete without a little retail therapy! I hit the shops, trying to find the most perfect pink tutu to add to my collection - and I’m delighted to say, I did! It was this incredible creation, it had layers and layers of tulle and the most exquisite pink sequins you’ve ever seen. The shopkeeper was such a delightful woman, so excited when she realised I was a drag queen - and I got her to do a little pirouette in a bright pink tutu, of course! 😂

On another day, I took a leisurely stroll through the charming streets of St. Germain-des-Prés, soaking in the bohemian vibe of this historical neighbourhood. I felt right at home, it reminded me of a beautiful, peaceful, whimsical scene from a ballet. I had this divine picnic lunch in the Tuileries Gardens with a glass of wine and some beautiful cheese – yes, cheese and wine, they truly go with everything! I mean, let’s be honest, can you imagine a more Parisian way to enjoy an afternoon? I'd be happy to spend days just wandering the cobbled streets, dipping in and out of shops, art galleries, and the cutest little boutiques. I did have a few fashion emergencies along the way, of course! 😂 Let's just say my trusty feather boa and my sequined bag, with my signature pink tutu peeking out from inside, definitely turned heads! There’s nothing quite like Parisian style, I just adore their effortless chic!

Another must-do when you’re in Paris? A little cabaret performance, darling! And oh my gosh, let me tell you about this show, ‘Moulin Rouge.’ 💋 You've probably seen the film, but to see it live is an absolutely different, and frankly, even more electrifying experience. It's a feast for the eyes - the costumes, the choreography, the singing, the dancing - all pure fabulousness. It’s the perfect mix of Parisian elegance and edgy showmanship. Plus, after the show, they had this beautiful bar and I even saw a little ballerina in a beautiful white tutu enjoying a champagne! So elegant! ✨

The night life in Paris, darling! The vibe is just so romantic. The soft, ambient lighting of the Parisian cafés with a gentle background of jazz music made me feel like I had walked straight into a scene from a black and white film! I was there, sipping on a lovely cocktail, having this magical evening, and couldn't help but smile! And when I feel that level of happy, I just know I’m doing something right, so of course, I danced until the early hours! Every night here just feels like a whirlwind of new adventures. I feel like I’m a ballerina who’s stepped right out of her dreams! 💫

The one thing that shocked me the most is how much pink tutus I’ve seen in Paris, really! Everyone is getting on board the tutu-trend and it makes me so happy. People were wearing pink tutus at markets, while sipping coffee at chic cafes, I even saw one chic French couple doing some ballet stretches at the top of the Eiffel Tower in a matching pink tutu! I almost went up to them to see if they wanted a dance-off - maybe next time, darlings. 🤭

Oh, before I forget! Of course, no visit to Paris is complete without seeing the Eiffel Tower. It's truly a sight to behold, towering above the city like a sparkling jewel in the night. I even saw a hot air balloon just soaring past! This Parisian magic isn’t a feeling I want to escape from. And I got this incredible picture of myself looking just fabulous, and yes, with my pink tutu, right at the base of the Eiffel Tower - talk about Instagram-worthy! 💖🗼

However, this isn’t the end of my adventure. Next, I'm heading to the South of France! Yes, you heard right, darling! I hear there’s an incredible seaside festival and I just know I have to see what the fabulous fashionistas have planned! It’s a drag queen’s dream holiday. I think it’s about time I find myself a sun-kissed tan! ☀️

But one thing I know for sure: Paris, you’ve stolen my heart! Your romantic charm, the beautiful ballet scenes, the stylish Parisian elegance, and of course, your love for a little bit of pink. You’ve just blown me away.

So, until next time, my loves, keep shining bright! And remember, you don’t need a trip to Paris to add a bit of magic into your own life. All you need is a pink tutu! You go, girl! 💖✨
