Hello my darling darlings, it's your favourite pink tutu princess, Pink Tutu Sparkles, back from a whirlwind trip to the wonderful city of Wellington, New Zealand!
As a true child of the theatre, I simply had to explore this vibrant arts hub, especially knowing about its incredible theatre scene! Imagine my delight when I discovered they have a whole district dedicated to the arts, just brimming with energy! But let's be honest, a trip isn't truly complete without a spot of serious shopping – a fashionista like myself can't resist!
This time, I didn't hop on a plane, oh no, this trip had to be all about those vintage travel vibes! It felt truly magical riding the train through stunning countryside, the rhythmic click-clacking adding to the symphony of the journey. It was so peaceful, perfect for planning out the outfit I'd wear at my first performance in this fabulous city.
Speaking of which, did you catch me strutting my stuff at The Tivoli Theatre in Wellington?! The crowd was amazing, filled with enthusiastic fans who clearly loved their live entertainment. And speaking of love, I could feel the excitement buzzing through the air before I even stepped onto the stage! The energy was electric, like being in a fairytale.
For the show, I opted for a shimmering, pink ombre tutu – you simply can't resist a touch of colour! I twirled and danced, feeling those twinkling lights catching my sparkly attire. It was a magical moment, made even more special because of all those wonderful people enjoying the show with me!
Fashion Fix:
Let’s talk fashion, because honestly, it's practically an essential part of travelling, wouldn't you agree? A fashionista can't simply blend in, can we? It's all about adding your own touch of colour, flair and, well, sparkle! This time, I embraced the classic Wellington chic by pairing my tutu with a soft, floral-print top and a crisp white blazer. You'll never catch me in anything drab!
After a spectacular evening of entertainment and a delightful sleep-in the following day, I ventured into the vibrant heart of Wellington's city centre, specifically to see the incredible "Wellington on Stage". The place is an absolute haven for performing arts fanatics – think ballet, musicals, plays, you name it! And just because, I had to experience the sheer delight of a visit to "The National Gallery," filled with gorgeous masterpieces.
My adventure continued with a delightful exploration of the nearby Wellington Botanic Garden, a symphony of lush green meadows and vibrant blooms, creating the perfect setting for a graceful ballet practice. After all, one cannot be a true ballerina without feeling those moments of pure joy and connection with nature, can we?
Speaking of nature, no trip to Wellington would be complete without a jaunt to Zealandia. This incredible wildlife sanctuary truly captures the wild beauty of nature and gave me an opportunity to indulge in a picnic and a very necessary photo-op. After all, how else can I share all these wondrous moments with you, my lovely readers!
But let’s not forget the food:
After days of exciting adventures and performances, I indulged in a little culinary escapades – think delectable afternoon teas and steaming cups of coffee at quirky café's scattered around town. Of course, I had to take a little peek at Wellington’s famous night markets, overflowing with artisanal delights and colourful, locally-made goods, giving me more ideas for my own fabulous, pink-inspired wardrobe!
So as the sun sets over the picturesque harbour, leaving a trail of glittering lights over the glistening water, I'm already dreaming of my next tutu-tastic escapade.
